HEALD COLLEGE Worst school in the world, do not go to this school or any of its other locations! STOCKTON California

I had briefly attended Heald College (at the Stockton, CA campus) from October to December of 2007. Who knew in a few months I'd be wasting good money.

At the time I felt I wanted to be an accountant, so I decided to go to Heald College. They really knew how to lure a desperate student-to-be in to their trap. I thought that going to a smaller, private school would entail a very good education (since that's what Heald claimed to offer) and that it would be a good investment. Plus, they offered classes that could work with my schedule, which at the time was pretty busy.

Early on, I really noticed a big difference with the student body, and especially the attitudes of the so-called faculty, who are only nice to you when it comes to "recruiting" you to attend their school. It came off as a school for people who felt they couldn't do any better that what's outside Heald College's walls.

At first, the "academic advisor" uses her enthusiasm and approach to convince you to attend the school. She was pretty good at it, and convinced me to give in. They have you fill out all the paperwork, and then they send you to Financial Aid, which I found to be strange since there were NUMEROUS financial aid advisors for just ONE campus. My financial aid advisor turned out to be one of the senior advisors, someone I thought that is capable of their job.

He guided me through the process, though honestly it was more like 'sign this, sign that' . He too showed much enthusiasm towards me knowing that the more students that enroll, the bigger Heald's pockets get.

At the time, I was working and going to school at Heald, but reached to a point where I believed I need extra money (I was still paying bills and such, but felt my paycheck wasn't enough). I was at school one day and wanted to talk to my financial aid advisor, but he was absent that day. So I spoke to a female financial aid advisor who was present. I requested to seek additional money, which for some reason meant borrowing more from the loan. I was under the impression that I'd be getting financial aid sent straight to me so that I can purchase my books, materials, etc. All of it went to the school, and I never saw a dime of it.

Anyway, after a few hours of thinking and having asked to get additional funds, I IMMEDIATELY went back to the same advisor and TOLD HER IN PERSON that I CHANGED MY MIND. She said she was going to take care of it. SHE NEVER DID.

This financial aid advisor (whose name unfortunately, I do not recall, for it has been a few years) NEGLECTED to take my REQUEST TO RETRACT THE ADDITIONAL LOAN ( which is listed in my account in the amount of 715.77) and sent this amount anyway. I know it's small but I thought this was sent back when I TOLD HER TO CANCEL IT.
THIS IS UNFAIR AND UNJUST, and UNCALLED FOR. I had spoken to my original advisor recently several times, and yet he claimed that I can't do anything about it but pay it anyway. I CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T ASK FOR.

HEALD COLLEGE IS THE WORST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED TO ME. They ruined my life, and they left me with scars, almost $2000 dollars worth.

I wish someone could help me with this. I wish Heald went away.
