Health Insurance Innovations Misleading Internet

Health Insurance Innovations is an Insurance Broker that sells short term policies. The policies are useless though. They cover basically nothing preventative. If you end up in the ER they will cover a portion of the bill but anything else it does not appear after reading the policy is covered. This is not explained up front. The whole point of insurance is to avoid the ER. If they will not cover a simple check up once or twice a year then why have it? At almost $400 a month this seems like a rip off to me. Calling the company to cancel the policy (because you have 10 days within purchase to cancel the policy or be held responsible for the charges) I find out this health insurance is through Ameritus which is a travelers insurance. That makes so much sense to me that it only covers emergencie because that is what a traveler would need coverage. But it is not a good policy for just the average person who needs insurance so they can go to the doctor once in awhile. If they had told me all of this up front I would have politely declined but as it is I think this is a shell game and pretty shady because I am sure lots of people did not take the time to actually pull up the policy rules on line and find out what is actually covered (basically nothing) and were out at least one month's payment if not more.
