My 4 month old puppy was throwing up during the evening and having seizures over the night. Not knowing what to do, I went to a pet hospital and he was hospitalized for one day and one night.

day 1:

  - filed a claim with the complete medical records from the hospital

  - got a computer generated response titled as 'First Notice: Document needed to process your claim'

  - sent back the vaccination documents from the breeder

day 4:

  - got another computer generated response titled as 'Second Notice: Document needed to process your claim'

  - wrote back telling them I sent all documents I have

  - got an email telling that I said he had a physical exam on a certain date, at that point, I realize that I picked up a very early date for an exam when the site was asking me when my puppy had the physical exam.

  - replied back telling them that I picked up a random old date to continue since the web site did not allow me to continue on without a date, that the date is way before I got my puppy and that my puppy did not have time to have a physical exam since he was with me for less than a month when I enrolled him to haealy paws insurance

day 7:

  - not hearing from them and realizing that I might have screwed it up by not taking him to a physical exam before enrolling him, I wrote them asking if this claim will be cancelled after one month automatically and even if I file another claim a couple of years later, if they are going to repeat the same thing: sending me computer generated notices

 - got a reply telling me that the she will work with her boss

day  8:

  - got yet another computer generated notice: 'Third Notice: Document needed to process your claim'

  - wrote a mail, asking if it's just a mistake that I got a computer-generated notice

day 15:

  - no answer from them, thinking that it's apparent that they just want my monthly premium, I wrote a cancellation notice as of the day and cancel the policy on their website

  - got a notice that my policy got cancelled

day 19:

  - got a mail telling me that my policy is 'cancelled' as of the day

  - got angry and writing the mail, what happened if my puppy broke his leg during the 4 days? I asked to cancel the policy on day 15, you want to squeeze out the last dollars from me? They kept silent for 7 days when I asked if it's their decision on my claim only to make extra dollars thinking that I would cancel my policy when I was actually worried about if he will be fine for another claims next time.
