Helping Hands Called offering a free Bahamas Cruise if willing to advertise my experience following the experience. Then I was asked to provide either debit ir credit card info. Was called from a local metro number Nationwide
*General Comment: Ditto on this pleasant but disappointing ripoff call
I was contacted by a woman claiming to be from "Helping Hands". She was very pleasant and friendly and launched directly into a pitch offering a free cruise in the Bahamas. She explained that the only thing necessary to be eligible was to commit to giving a good review of Helping Hands while on the cruise and following. She then asked for either a debit or credit card. This is where I then mentioned having pulled up the organization's name and finding a negative report. I then requested to be both removed from her call list and to receive no further contact before hanging up.

Ditto on this pleasant but disappointing ripoff call

I received a phone call from a pleasant young man with Senior Health Advisors with the Helping Hands Association today offering me a free cruise to the Bahamas with the only obligation being that I have a great time and come home and tell my friends and family about the cruise. All I needed was a debit or credit card in good standing so that I could get onto the ship.
After answering that I was over 21 and had a card in good standing, I was put on hold, supposedly for a very short time which after 20 second or so I hung up. I've blocked the call. So sad that people still think that we will fall for these things - I just hung in there for a second out of curiosity as I pulled up the scam information online. Thank God for computers and the internet!
