Helzberg Diamonds Bait and Switch JOB OFFER Peoria Illinois

I just spent two weeks interviewing for an assistant manager position with Helzberg Diamonds at their Peoria, Illinois location. I was offered several other MANAGEMENT positions with other companies during the two week time period that I passed up because I truly wanted the position with the Helzberg Company. At the third and final interview I was informed that the position that the company was filling was a SALES ASSOCIATE position and NOT the ASSISTANT MANAGER position that was being advertised on Craigslist. If this is not bait and switch I don't know what is.

Why are companies getting away with this? It should be illegal to advertise a MANAGEMENT position when looking to fill an ASSOCIATE position. Thank you Helzberg Diamonds for wasting my time and allowing me to pass up other opportunities that could be putting food on my diningroom table as we speak.
