Herman Street Open Cloner Fraudulent, Scam, Bait and Switch, No Refund, Junkware Ogden UT

I wanted to burn some videos to a DVD so I purchased this product called "DVD Cloner" as I turns out I thought I was ordering something that would do the job. I was wrong. I went back to their website to inquire if I could get a refund. They don't have a normal e-mail address you have to ask your questions on line so I had to put in one of their bloomin' "Support Tickets." I next get an e-mail saying they will get back to me in 24 hours. As of this writing, 9 October, it's been over a week and I still haven't heard anything. In the interim I was able to get a regular e-mail address and sent them a normal e-mail describing my issue. They didn't respond to that either. They have a phone number on their website but when you call it you find out it's another company which had no record of my purchase.

Yesterday I got a "promotional" from this bloody company to buy some more of their junkware. I thought you blighters got a lot of cheek. However, this time their was a phone number and address so I called the number and got some person on the line. I explained my problem and she said "we can offer you an exchange." I told her I didn't want a bloody exchange I wanted a refund. Then she said "I'll have to transfer you to our technical department so they can help you with a refund." Needless to say, this is no technical department since I was put on hold to a dead line.

My guess is is that this so-called "company" is just a back-room operation that warehouses a lot of junk with one person answering the phone, a phony website and a place where one can make inquiries to which no one responds.

Well, I really bottled it since I should have come here first but at the time I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't think to check this place out first. So, at the end of the day I learned a huge lesson: check first. I guess the jokes on me. I probably don't have to say this but unless one know for certain that the company is really legit like Amazon, etc. check here first BEFORE you invest your hard earned quid on some junk.

PS: Why can't someone do something to shut down places like this? This is out-right FRAUD! Right now I have steam coming out my bloomin' ears.
