Hollister Co. is one of the worst companies ever. I recevied a gift card for christmas and went to use it online yesterday. I should have been charged only $7 on my mastercard. I checked my account to see that they charged me the entire $57.
I called them immediatly to ask what happened and they claimed there was no giftcard number entered. I gave them my gift card number and the girl was very rude and just kind of said "ok bye". I called again to see how long it would take the $50 to get credited to my account and they said up to 20 days..thats ridiculous I said. Then they said ok once it ships I'll get charged the right amount.
I ended up receiving an email today saying that I had reached my credit limit so my order was put on hold? I had enought money in my account though. So I emailed them back saying this isnt right then they tell me the gift card is expired because it was a promo card. It clearly says on the back of my card "no expiration date".
I fought back and forth with them all day via email and they kept giving me the same bullsh** answer.
"We're sorry you were not able to take advantage of your promotional gift card. Information about the expiration date was communicated in-store on the sleeve of the gift card. We also tried to communicate the expiration date with in-store marketing, on-line on the web site home page, and by marketing notifcations through email. Funds were systematically removed from the cards on the expiration date (January 30) and we cannot put additional funds on the card or extend the expiration date. "
I even sent them a picture of my giftcard and this was their response :
"Thanks for emailing us at Hollister and taking the time to share your views about your experience ordering on our website. It is important to hear feedback provided by our customers, so we have documented your comments and will share them with the relevant business teams. All feedback from our customers, whether positive or negative, is valuable and we appreciate the time you took to tell us what you think. Thanks again for letting us know whats on your mind.
Matt Customer Service Hollister "
Terrible customer service, I even called and asked to speak to a manager they said they are unable to do that. I am never shopping there again and I hope you all do the same. Hollister is an evil corperation and I'm sure they will go out of business once everyone realizes that.

I have used Hollister gift cards with no problems ever. The kind people who work at Hollister are so friendly and helpful! I enjoy shopping there all the time. You can't find better customer service anywhere.

My aunt tried using her Gift Card this weekend at a local Hollister for my younger cousin and was told the same thing - that it expired the end of January. There was no expiration date on her's either. She wasn't treated very well either - can't imagine why when all they have are 18y.o. running the place - barely out of high school with no customer service skills whatsoever.
