My friend received an email from HollywoodProfiles.com enticing her with work for hire should she sign up with their website.

The email her sent her to this link...https://secure.hollywoodprofiles.com/

You will see Joey Lawrence tell you how great of a website it is and that for a limited time, you can have a trial run as a premium member of their website. However, it neglects to mention how much the premium membership costs.

1st it says "Sign up for a FREE account" and it also says "100% satisfaction "GUARANTEE!" Yet its asks you to put a credit card number in should you pay a set-up fee of $1.95

Turns out that this was actually for a trial offer, which provided no emails of casting calls of any sort in either her regular in box or her bulk mail. And when she tried to get her money back, Thelma (the representative we spoke with) stated that there are no refunds. And she was very knowledgeable on defensive laws as she/he (we couldn't tell) should be since IT probably received many cancellations and calls from attorneys before.

And once the trial was over, my unsuspecting friend was charged $50 debited from her account. Had she read the terms and conditions she would've known that there are no refunds for anything, however NO WHERE DOES THE AMOUNT FOR SERVICE appear. WHERE DOES IT SAY $50 a month? Where is the Free account? And if we were dissatisfied doesn't a 100% guarantee entitle her to recieve a full refund, since this was obvious a misleading and misrepresented fraudulant website preying on job seekers? People who have no money and are looking for work to pay their bills are given another bill to pay just to look for work. It's a catch 22.

DO NOT SIGN-UP WITH HOLLYWOOD PROFILES or HOLLYWOODPROFILES.com.

USE MONSTER.COM, CRIAGSLIST, CAREERBUILDER. These are free and you will have more potential of finding work. And NEVER, EVER Put your credit card number on a sign-up box stating anything is FREE. If its Free, why do you need the credit card, and why do you only need to charge $1.95, but fail to mention the monthly rate ANYWHERE. IT IS NO WHERE. It could be $1000 a month for all anyone knows at it states in their Terms and Conditions which reads:

"Payment of Membership Fee. The payment of your Membership Fee (which includes any trial period fee, enrollment of processing fee and shipping and handling charges, as applicable) is made automatically by a direct charge(s) to the billing source authorized by you, in accordance with the payment terms to which you agreed. If applicable, In the event that your billing source cannot process the Membership Fee due to insufficient available credit or funds, we may, at our discretion, divide the total applicable, in the event that your billing source cannot process the Membership Fee into incremental charges in order to process the total Membership Fee."

They are able to raise or lower their price at anytime.

SO BEWARE - DO NOT USE HOLLYWOODPROFILES.COM or Hollywood Profiles -

IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND A TOTAL RIP-OFF. Why pay money for something that you can get free many places elsewhere.
