Home Funds Direct contacted us, along with many other co.'s to finance our home. We chose them because they gave us the best % rate and had more cash coming back @ closing. The process which should have taken 12 days, turned into 60 day nightmare. During this time we were lied to, shunned, until they were ready to close our loan. Our loan was passed between several loan officers, none saying the same thing. The reason we were doing this loan was to cash out and increase our financing because of a medical issue and they knew that. We were told all the way up to the closing hour that we were going to recieve $18,000 cash settlement and there would be no out of pocket closing cost's to us.

Thirty minutes into the closing we received the actual HUD and found out there would be $2649.00 out of our pocket and there would be NO cash settlement. Because of us being so upset, they did offer a $1,400 amount to us, but then emailed us and said they could not do that either. He then explained that this was a very hard loan and I should be glad it closed and in 12 months I can go in and do a cash out, he also explained there are no other banks that would do this loan for me and it is what it is. We have contacted the BBB, the Distric Att. of Houston and our family att. and are in the process of filing a law suit
