HomeFront Pest Control Shaun Turner Company lies to Employees when hiring them and steals money and time Corona California

When first interviewed for HomeFront Pest Control, I was told that there were several shifts and that the afternoon shifts were already covered, which meant I would work an early morning shift. On my first day I was told to come in at 8:30 and at the end of my day I was told my permanent shift would 11am-8pm. I spoke to other new hires that said the same thing happened to them as well.

Once I knew this company lies upfront, I decided to quit. I only worked there for 2 days. I then called the company on Thursday the 6th and told them that I would be resigning and inquired about my check. Patricia (manager at corona branch) told me my check would be ready on Monday the 10th when the pay period was over. Monday I called to see what time I was able to pick up my check, and Patricia said that they could not find my timecard so they would have to put in my hours that day and my check would be ready on Wednesday the 12th. 
A professional company would've called me as soon as they couldn't find my check, so my hours could be recorded. Wednesday comes and I decide to call the company and speak to Alex (corporate) and he said I could stop by anytime to receive my check. I told him I would be there after 6pm.

I left work on Wednesday the 12th to go get my check from HomeFront. I took me 35 minutes to get to Corona from my job in Upland, while sitting in traffic. Once I get there, I find out that the managers have all left for the day and nobody (employees) could find my check. After 20 minutes of running around I pointed out to an employee that I could see my check threw the window of one of the offices.

Once we saw the check they said the office was locked and they could not go in because it was Shaun Turner's office (Branch manager) and only he has the keys. An employee calls Shaun and he then says that they could mail it to me or he could be there in an hour if I would like to wait. I had already been there near 30 minutes and was not going to wait another hour on top of that.

So I left angry and frustrated and advised them to mail it to me after they gave me the run-around. On Friday the 14th (Today) I receive my check via mail, but the pay rate is wrong. Alex told me when he hired me that I would be starting at $10.50. Which is what i left my last company at. The pay rate on my check is $9.00. 

I have to say that I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and deceptive company before like Homefront. They deceived me from the beginning as well as other hires that I have spoken to. Starting with saying the afternoon shifts are covered and that I would be working a morning shift. And now with the pay rate. They have skimped at least $20 off of my check. 

Considering the experiences I have had with this unreliable company, I did not try to obtain what's owed to me, but believe me I will NEVER recommend this company to work for nor for the use of their services to anyone.

HomeFront Pest Control and its Affiliates, Shaun Turner, Alex from corporate and Patricia an office manager; waisted my time and money and made my decision to leave HomeFront all that much easier.
