I have been with Homeq aka. Money Store since 1997. They are the least honest, immoral and unethical company I have ever dealt with. If you get behind, be ready to get stabbed in the back.

I have had several fee's tacked on to my loan which made no sense at all. They were called Attorney Fee's. I asked them what these are and they said since I was late they had to send an attorney out to my house to make sure it wasn't vacant. What they did was they sent out someone they probably hired off the street who put a little note on my door to call Homeq about my deliquency. This was the so called $50 attorney fee. I asked for a detailed statement showing where these fee's go and they said they couldn't send me one.

They do call when you are 1 day late. I told them I had my grace period and their answer was, "We don't believe in these grace periods and the calls will continue until payment received". I was furious, so I sent them a letter that the only way you can communicate with me is by mail. By law, they have to abide by this. If anybody is getting harrassing phone calls, you can stop this by sending a letter to them. It actually did work which surprised me.

They don't care about your situation or anything else. They thought they had people fooled when they changed their name to Homeq from the Money Store. This company gives the American Dream a bad name.

I am in the process of a short sale to my house because I went through a divorce and can't afford my first mortgage and Homeq's. I feel sorry for people who have Homeq as their first mortgage. I'll pray for you because you will need it. This mortgage is 7 yrs old and I still owe about the same amount as when I got it. Since this is my 2nd mortgage, they will lose out if I sell at short sale or it goes to foreclosure. They definetely deserve to lose. They are ripping off and taking advantage of the middle class of AMerica. I hope a class action suit does happen. I would think any attorney would jump at this. They would make a fortune. Once again, God help anyone who is associated with this company.
