I called Horizon in response to an ad in The Clipper. It stated for $34.75 it would clean up to 5 rooms and a free hall. I scheduled an appointment. They came on time but it was not a steam cleaner it was a regular carpet cleaner (like you rent in the grocery store) but larger. In a small pickup truck (very unprofessional) After test cleaning a section he called his boss on the phone and tried to work out a "deal" with me.
The worker told me that for $900.00 they would clean all of my carpets (I have 2650 sq. ft.) I told them I just wanted the advertised cleaning they told me they couldn't even do that. My carpets were "too dirty" for the basic cleaning. I argued back and forth while he tried to work out a deal on the phone with his boss. I finally relented to pay $140.00 to have 3 rooms and a hallway done.
They used water from my bathtub and used no cleaning supply's other than a light misting from a spray bottle. This ended in my carpets looking just as they had without being cleaned. I should have told them to get out when I saw the scam coming. Don't fall for these people. Your carpets will look exactly the same! And you'll have paid too much! The phone numbers are listed under Hillsborough, Zephyrhills and Dade City.

I have used this company and they did a great job on my carpet.. Are you aware that basic cleaning does not clean your filthy carpets?? And that even stanly steamers does not use "steam" or make the water hotter than room temperature because it will ruin your carpet?? Why would somebody want to waist their time washing your filthy carpet when its not gonna wash it?

Wow what a LONG time to go back to this post! No my business is doing quite well thank you. Celebrating 8 great years and always growing mainly through referrals from very happy and satisfied REPEAT customers. There is nothing wrong with a portable commercial carpet cleaning machine. Just because some guy has a machine out in the truck you think that he will do a better job? Not necessarily. Are you still suck a cheap a*s or have you learned that you get what you pay for yet? Again why would you even think that you could get 2650 sq/ft of carpet cleaned for only $34.75? THAT IS BEING A CHEAP a*s! You probably get ripped left and right when you have your car repaired too because you are looking for the lowest price.

Dude, Are you kidding me? I expected the company to do what they say they are going to do for the price they quoted. How is that my fault for expecting them to do that? You didn't leave you're companys name...Hmmmm? Now why would that be? You stayed with the company for two months and probably learned their tricks and decided to do it on your own. Horizon has hundreds of complaints on the web. Had I known I would never have called. I paid the higher amount (you idiot) because I wanted clean carpets. I didn't get the great discount (which of course would have been nice) So obviously I am not THAT cheap. My main problem is the bait and switch and not even getting clean carpets after I paid the higher price. Too bad I can't call you what I'd like to call you. Hope your business tanked...I'm sure it has.

I worked for this company for a period of 2 months. I saw what they did,
the bait and switch, the ripping off of people, the lies! I got away
from them and started my own business. I am shocked that you thought that you could possible get your entire house cleaned for $34.75! It quite frankly is your own fault. Stop and think how could someone drive to your place, take the time to unload, set up and clean your house for only $34.75? Would you work for those rates? When you say your house is 2650 sq/ft is that total living area or actual sq/ft of carpet to be cleaned? You fail to mention if the $900 was for just cleaning or if it was for their cleaning, sanitizing and stain protection. Which really is just another lie. They claim to use Teflon but never have they sold that or provided it to employees to purchase. Yes the workers use their own vehicles, buy their own chemicals from Horizon (the cheapest chemicals that they can get and NOT certified for use on 5th generation carpets, that's just about every residential carpet out there now!), pay for their own gas to get to your house and now get this they get a MAX of 32% of the total bill for the cleaning! Who the heck would want to clean an entire house for only about $12.75?!?
Why did you agree to pay to even have 3 rooms done? You should have thrown him out when the games started! In all honesty it is your own fault! (NO I am not sticking up for this company at all!) Don't be so cheap!
