First they increased my interest rate before the promo expired and still to this day wont decrease it and the promo still hasn't expired.

Second, and this is the one that really PISS'S ME OFF. They are suppose to have a soldier and sailor act policy for military members. That is suppose to give solders a lower interest rate of 6%. I asked them what they need from me to qualify and they told me just a copy of my Active duty orders.

So I faxed them a copy of my orders and they told me that it didnt have the info that they need so I sent them about 6 more faxs from my Enlistment contract to my Military ID card. (Thats 100 dollars in phone cards because im in Korea) But they just keep telling me that it wasnt what they needed.

Finally I started calling every day just to get on there nerves and the told me that they review the stuff that I had sent to them and that even thoe I am in the army on active duty that I dont qualify for the policy because I got the card after I joined the army. I mean what the f*** is the difference when I got the card? As long as im in the military im a soldier. It shouldnt mater when I got the card.

So then I asked them if I was to get out of the army for one day and then reenlisted would I qualify because im in my timeframe to re-up. But they have never gave me a answer because every time I ask them that they would say that they had to ask there supervisor that is never there. So they tell me that they will call me back when they find out but I never get the call.

I am just so sick of this company because here I am in Korea about to go Afghanistan to fight in a war for these people that I am willing to give my life for but they arent even willing to lower my interest rate a few points.

Sincerely pissed off, James Wesley Stettner United States Army Korea ACTIVE

-----------------------------------
If you're a reserve component service member called to active duty, you're protected by a law that can save you some legal problems and possibly some money as well.
Under the provisions of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940, you may qualify for any or all of the following:

Reduced interest rate on mortgage payments.
Reduced interest rate on credit card debt.
Protection from eviction if your rent is $1,200 or less.
Delay of all civil court actions, such as bankruptcy, foreclosure or divorce proceedings.

"Although all service members receive some protections under the SSCRA, additional protections are available to reserve components called to active duty," said Lt. Col. Patrick Lindemann, deputy director for legal policy in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. Most active duty service members are familiar with the provisions of the SSCRA that guarantee service members the right to vote in the state of their home of record and protect them from paying taxes in two different states.

One of the most significant provisions under the act limits the amount of interest that may be collected on debts of persons in military service to 6 percent per year during the period of military service. This provision applies to all debts incurred prior to the commencement of active duty and includes interest on credit card debt, mortgages, car loans and other debts. The provision, Lindemann emphasized, applies to pre-service debts, and the interest rate reduction doesn't occur automatically service members must request it.
