I called household to get a copy of my payment history and they would not give it to me. It is hard to understand them.they really do give people the run around when you are trying to resolve a problem.

You absolutely DO NOT have to put up with being treated that way sir! First, let me say that Beneficial (AKA Household Financial)says I had a loan with them as well. I never did and I went after them. They did nothing but give me the run around, telling me they HAD to have my social security number to "access" my supposed account. WRONG! They were going to try to MAKE my account! Anyway, you do have some serious recourse here! First, you need to send a cease and desist letter; after that you can sue them if they continue the harassment! Next, you need to file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Comission and your local attorney general. If you have any of those nasty phone calls recorded, or any nasty mail they may have sent you, SUE THEM in small claims court! People have to start learning that they do, in fact, have rights even if they owe someone money! Good luck and God bless!
