I bought my first home through a Mortgage company called Crevcor Mortgage. Not even a month later I was transfered to HSBC. The appraisal I was given is 15K higher than the true value. Luckily the seller didn't want that much. Due to my other half losing his job I got behind by one month. Now that I'm caught up, thought things would be fine. Now They call me asking for a payment even if I'm 5 day's behind the dues date... still within the grace period. And even get angry when I tell them I can't pay because I don't have my checkbook with me. I don't carry it unless I plan to use it. Now I'm stuck with a company which I didn't even pick full of very rude people. Who actually had the nerve to call me lazy and a liar cause I couldn't pay on time for those months. My credit score was less than they told me(50 less), so it's at the moment too low to even refinance.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Did I hear you cry wolf?
AUTHOR: Genevieve - (U.S.A.)

First thing I want to tell you is..Pay the payments on time--exactly on time. It is not unlawful to call you or even be rude to you if you are not in compliance with your loan aggreement. Don't get me wrong, I don't think its right, but such is life.
Secondly, know even if you are in the grace period the mortgage comapny only reports when you paid the payment; the credit bureau is the guilty party for your lower credit rating. Just a suggestion to you.
Be prompt on your payment for a least a year, Be nice to your mortgage company rep because these are trying times (even for them) and if your still not satisfied jump off ship! Your claims are not, I repeat ARE NOT fraudulent or even descreet scammful and will not stand up in a court of law. PSSS. If your feel the appraiser over valued your home intentionaly you can file a complaint with the Real Estate Appraiser Association. Sincerely on your side.
