I purchased a Huskey Power Washer model 2000S on April 25, 2009.  It worked for about an hour, then the motor quit.  I contacted them via email and after several weeks of emails back and forth, they thought that the problem was the on/off switch.

I was very pleased when they sent a new switch, however it took three weeks for that to happen.  I installed it, and it did not fix the motor issue.  I sent many emails back to them and they have never responded.

So here I am with an expensive boat anchor or paper weight.  But it certainly is not a "power" washer.  And their service department is anything but.

Do not buy a Huskey at Home Depot!

Home Depot and Huskey do care

AUTHOR: Tom S. - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, February 05, 2010

This whole story ends on a very happy note.  Thanks to the Customer Service staff at Home Depot and at Huskey.  I even got a call from the President of Huskey, making sure that I was satisfied.  They are sending me a new machine and extra attachments package as a way of making amends.

Apparently they do care, very much about customer satisfaction.  Anything can break or people can make mistakes.  It's how they recover from those issues that count.  This has been an excellent recovery.

Its fixed now.

AUTHOR: Tom S. - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 13, 2009

I got the machine back by UPS on Friday, 12/11/09.  Since it was well below freezing outside, I hooked it up to the basement laundry tub.  It worked fine out of the box.  Yeah.  Cleaned out the tub real well.

Thanks to all who got it back and fixed the situation.

Shipped the unit back

AUTHOR: Tom S. - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, December 07, 2009

The UPS label came on Friday and I went to the UPS store that same day and shipped it back.  That was 12/4/09.  The boxing cost me $20 but it was worth it to protect the unit.  Now lets see what happens next.

Progress

AUTHOR: Tom S. - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 01, 2009

A customer service rep from Home Depot contacted me and then contacted Huskey.  A service rep from Huskey said that he would send a UPS label so that I could send the machine back for free repairs.  That was on November 19th.  It is now December 1st.  Still no shipping label.

Progress, but very slow.
