As a soon to be graduating student here at the International Academy of Design and Technology I have to say that I am very displeased with my educational experience. One of my professors sent us students a link to this site and boy am I glad that he did.

Everything that everyone has said is totally true about this school. I am in the first cohort to go through the Justice and Technology program. Like everyone else I was led to believe that this education would qualify me for many jobs that it doesn't even come close to fulfilling. Currently I have to work as an armed security guard for a money transport service because I'm unable to enter any other field with my "DIPLOMA" from IADT.

Almost all of the recruiters that they brought to the job fair (Which they did when they were showing prospective students the school) required education well above and beyond what we were getting. Not 1 of the 23 tables that they had set up offered any student employment or consideration. Many packed up and left as soon as they heard that the school is not accreditted to give degrees. (The only A.S. degrees that they can give are in Visual Communications and Computers)

I also had the disadvantage of missing out on learning the top notch forensics stuff because the school didn't get around to building our lab until after we took all of the classes. I also had many great teachers that were let go by the presidents for refusing to pass failing students and for refusing to allow students to screw around in class. I had one teacher tell the class that we were expected to be mature because we were all considering law enforcement careers. He said that he wanted only the best to succeed because those students may be his back up someday and he didn't want a screw up backing him up and getting him killed. Can you believe they fired him for being to harsh and expecting his students to come to class and learn.

Man, I wish I went to Butler Community College. I would have an associates degree and certification as a police officer and would have spent alot (and I mean alot) less.

Thank you.

David
