IADT International Academy Of Design And Technology Misleading Evasive lied about my financing after i moved up there to attend then to be LET GO!! Ripoff Tukwila Washington

I found this school searching online. When i found it i thought i did enough research to know this school wasn't a fraud school. So I looked into a little bit more, submitted my information. I got a call back almost immediate.

Keri Patton is one of the ladies whose help potential students enroll. She told me during our phone interview that the school has strict enrollment oppurtunities and they do not allow just anybody to attend. I did a follow up with her in person. I drove all the way out to the school to be interviewed a second time and to tour the campus.

They put on a good act when it came down to accepting my enrollment, so the school seemed very legit. Once I interviewed with the Dean I was told that they would be very pleased if I decided to attend. So I took the next step of enrollment, and that was the financing.

The financial advisors there do not know what they are talking about. I had to apply for financial aid just like any student, but because my parents had not filed their taxes we had to estimate their total income for year 2005. The lady working with me said that it would not be a problem. So we continued the financing.

I did run into a few problems, because I did not qualify for Financial Aid, nor did I qualify WITH co-signers for a student loan. So i continued working with the financial advisors and they ensured me that by the next quarter I would be attending classes. With this knowledge from the financial advisors I made the next step to attend this school.

I let them know that I will be quitting my current job and moving up north to attend, but I needed them to assure that my financial situation will be taken care of no matter the circumstances. They informed me that if I pay a monthly payment towards the full tuition for part time that I would be set. They gave me the numbers for the monthly payment. So I mapped out all my personal finances so that I would be capable of making these payments.

I soon moved 60 miles (an hour drive) to Tukwila so I can attend the school and begin a new job. I did not have a job lined up so I was unemployed for several weeks. So in the meantime i kept in contact with the financial advisor so I could figure my financial situation out.

When it got close to the beginning of the first quarter with only a couple of weeks left I was contacted by the financial department. I was all geared up for school, but was shocked to find out that the financing I had planned out was not LEGIT! They had forgotten to mention a few IMPORTANT PARTS of the FINANCING PROCESS and what was required. ALL IN THE LAST MINUTE.

It turns out that because my parents had not filed their taxes and it was past a certain time for taxes, that the financing situation the FINANCIAL ADVISORS Guaranteed was all a Lie! They did not even bother mentioning it when me and my mom both asked several times if it was going to be a problem. I then received an email from the school saying they are sorry to have cancelled my enrollment!!! I NEVER CANCELED!

When I went to talk to someone regarding my situation they were very evasivve and ignored my emails and phone messages. The school and employees all said and has it advertised that they care about their students.

SO now I moved all the way from Olympia to Seattle just to go to school...but instead im working a full time job living on my own and struggling. FOR NO REASON!
