I was really hoping I wouldn't find myself here, among the victims of IBC. I don't even know who to be mad at. Not the tellers or customer service reps, they are not to blame. I have talked to many of them over the last three months. They have been well trained  and well versed  on what to say when we, the upset customers, call to get help with these mystery charges. I just noticed on the news that another large banking institution has been singled out for the same thing, manipulating customer's transactions to gain revenue for their bank. I would like to see IBC on the news for their sticky fingers too.

I could write a book on excuses IBC uses when I call to complain. Maybe they have it out for those of us with the FREE checking accounts. I rarely write a check because of the time line uncertainties that can arise,  and now I'm going to retire my debit card too, as it is no longer a convenience, rather, it is now another trap. I really liked being able to pay my bills on-line. Oh well. I'm going back to the faithful grocery store money orders. I thought I could get a handle on my account by simply withdrawing my money each month at the bank as I was advised by one cust serv rep.

SO, the first of the month the automated phone system again says my money is available. Great! I also noticed that less than half of last months fictitious overdraft fees were returned. Was it my persistent calling and pleading or maybe because the BBB is now involved. I walked into the Muskogee branch, to the teller. I wanted to keep it really simple. I said, "I can't afford any more OD charges, I just want my money." I explained that I had just stopped and got $20 for gas and that is all I had out. She said she saw it. I told her to leave an extra $10 in my acct. She gave me my money. I told her I had reported the bank to the BBB. I just wanted that noted on my acct. A couple of days went by and I got a NSF notice in the mail. I had to ask for paper again. I wanted to see how my transactions differed from the on-line banking and how they got more of my government stimuli check (direct deposited) than I got.

I noticed this morning that they got me again. I had over $60 in the bank. How could they charge me a fee for that $20 debit card transaction for gasoline? I know others would have bailed by now, but there is so much NSF activity on my account, from July '09 to now, that I probably can't get another checking account/debit card. This is my Social Security check that is direct deposited. Are any banks trustworthy at this time with all the finical bail outs and lack of? I wonder how the government is going to react when the reports of SS monies and the stimuli being sucked out of checking accounts.

I know it is a software program loaded into these banking institutions systems searching out any way possible to charge more fees. I learned about it on a recent TV documentary. "Now I need to call the bank again."

Information and other reports about how these banks operate by typing in the names of banks (Bank of America, Wachovia etc) in the search on the top right of the screen.

For now I will just advise that since you are aware from the TV shows and news, and your experience what the banks do..burn your debit card. When your direct deposit SS check comes in..cash it and stick the money under your mattress..it will be 1,000,000 times safer (or should I say 38 billlion times safer..that is how much the banks fleeced from it's customers in 2009 from all these fees) then if you leave it in the bank for them to manipulate and take from you all they legally can..until some laws are changed to actually protect us.

That is all.
