I.C System Constant calls, looked up number and called back said I owed almost $800.00. The incident occured almost 9 months prior and this was the first time I got a call. I asked for a receipt and information to be mailed and have not received anything or a paper bill like I asked.  Internet

Last August (2013), I went to the emergency room for immediate attention for my fingers. They were bleeding from an accident and I knew I need help. I called 911 and the ambulance came and took me to the hospital.  The hospital bill came and I paid what I owed (half off also because I am an employee). Considering I work there, you would think that they would give the correct information out to other medical services that helped me...wrong! After paying the hospital and a few other bills that I received, I thought everything was paid.

After months of the incident, I started getting non-stop calls and would not answer. I figured they were solicitors, until I answered the call.  It was a call from another collector in which I paid. I asked why I have not received a bill and they told me they sent it to a prior address. I explained I have not lived there in 10 years, but it did not matter I still paid it.  After, I paid that bill from the same incident; I started to receive more calls. I thought “ what is it now?”  I paid every bill I ever had and never been late on any utility bills. I didn’t understand why I kept getting calls.

 One day, I answered the phone and it was I.C System.  They explained they were collecting debt from the ambulance.  I told them I paid everything and why do I just know about this. They said they have sent notices to me monthly. I told them I have not received any.  I asked what address and they gave me an address that I have not lived at in 9-10 years.

They asked me to pay almost $800.00 in less than 2 weeks or it would be on my credit report.  I did not want that to happen, so I told them I could not afford it with being in school and working minimum hours. They set me up with a monthly payment of $55 a month.  I asked them to mail me receipts and information regarding the account. I have yet to receive anything.  It didn’t make sense that they said they sent notices to my old address in which I have no lived in almost a decade. This time I asked for one to be sent to my current address and they will not send it.

 Within the last 30 mins I have attempted to pay off the remaining $730 and it will not let me pay it.  It states I need to call the “1-800” number but does not list the rest of the number.  I am concerned if I should let it go against my credit or pay it.  It seems fishy to me that there is no contact information listed on this site or any information at all.  What should I do?
