My boyfriend and I received a call back in December to notify us that we have won a free trip to Vegas and all we had to do was attend a presentation. Sounded too good to be true. So we made a pact that we would just go in for the presentation and not purchase anything.

Of course, after the presentation there was a sales pitch that sounded really good. We were unsure about it so they offered us a short term membership and signed a contract saying that we could get our full deposit back within 10 days if we decide to cancel it. After much thought, we decided we didnt want to keep it so we went in and signed the cancellation documents. Chq was to arrive in 2 weeks.

Two weeks came and gone without any sign of our chqs. We received a letter saying that there would be a delay because the chq is from their office in the States and the bank had to hold the funds to clear. It would be another 2-3 weeks. Time passed and I received another letter saying that due to tough economic times that they were not able to pay until April 26, but that they were giving us a couple of few certificates for free trips. But the thing was, there were no certificates with the letter and it didn't indicate how we could get them. I called and spoke to someone name Bruce who said they certificates were in the mail and ensured I would get my chqs on April 26. He didn't sound too convincing. Since, the certificates are never entirely free (service chg, taxes, etc) I didn't want to spend any more of my money unitil I got my refund.

It's May 1st today and I realized I didn't get m chqs yet. We called the office- line disconneted. My boyfriend went to the office and the doors were locked. He waited around and ended up meeting some other people that have similiar encounters as us.

We are planning on taking legal action. For those who are interested or considering on taking it to the small claims court, we have a facebook page called VICTIMS OF IDC SCAM.
