My caller ID did not show a number so I knew it was a telemarketer. Turns out it was IDC Servco the scam company that calls me all the time but usually hangs up when I ask them to repeat what company they are from. The person claimed to be Tony Garcia from Toshiba American Business Solutions.

They called me 2 years ago on my first week in my current position and not realizing they are scammers I provided them with my name and copier model. They placed an order "for me" and promptly hung up before giving me any more information. My colleague told me that toner is included in our contract for free. I thought that I am not to concerned because how can they bill us if they don't have any personal information like ss# or Tax ID. They called to confirm the order the next day and I told them we dont want it. That is what started the barrage of calls I receive from IDC Servco on an ongoing basis.

Generally the caller says we are from Toshiba American Business Solutions and I ask them where? and they hang up. Today however this "Tony Garcia" character was a total moran. He called and said "Hi _______(my name) this is Tony Garcia from Toshiba American Business Solutions and I was checking to see how the ______(our printer model #) is doing. We had it serviced yesterday so I thought it was a follow up. I said its working great thank you. Then he said you still use black toner right? and I said excuse me? and he repeated do you still use black toner in your machine? That is when I realized it was IDC again. I said you are not even asking me a question that makes sense so you are going to have to rephrase it. So he said do you still use black toner in your machine? I said that is not rephrased. So he said when you print something is the ink on the page black? I said Don't you have my contract? you tell me what toner I use. So he said his question isn't the problem it is my brain that can not process and is getting confused by his question and twisting it in my brain. I apparently got under his skin when I then said why are you asking me about a machine that you should know more about then me since you are from Toshiba right? I said where did you get the information you have if you don't have a contract in front of you? He said THE TRASH! I DIG IN THE TRASH! I said YOU DIG in the trash? He said YEAH I DIG IN THE TRASH, I DIG IN THE TRASH I GOT YOUR INFORMATION FROM THE TRASH. I said that is very suiting! and then he just stayed on the line and I hung up. Apparently he was stunned or something that I made him lose his cool and he went all off script.

In addition to many other consumers I filed a complaint with www.ftc.com Why is this scam company still in business? they were succesfully sued by Toshiba American Business Solutions for falsley representing them in August 2007.
