I was looking for information on applying citizenship for my mom. Agoogle search on USINS came back with www.immigrationdirect.com as the 1st on the list. This website makes you believe this is the actual USINS official website and that you can apply for citizenship right there online. So I filed form N-400 on their website and was charged $149. You cannot tell at all that it is not an actual application and the $149 is not a part of application fee. You still have to print out the form and mail the form to the Immigration Office with full payment yourself.

Their website is very deceiving and they made it that way intentionally with one and only one purpose that is to rip you off.

Stay away from it. Do not get ripped off.

We always regret to hear when customers are not fully satisfied with our service. We stand behind our service, and in many cases we give a full refund to our customers who aren't satisfied.

We are sorry that there was confusion about being on a government site, as we clearly state on every page of our website that we are not affiliated with the U.S. government and that our fees are in addition to any fees charged by the USCIS.

We have built a user-friendly system that guides people through various USCIS application processes, step-by-step and mistake free. Many lawyers charge between $750 and $1,500 for helping individuals with their U.S. Citizenship application, or even more for other types of applications.  We charge significantly less for that application, and we allow users to take advantage of our customer service via email support 24/7 and phone support M-F 9a-5pm PST.

Call or email us if you have any issues with our service, we are here to help.

Regards,

If its a Gvt website it will be *.gov not *.com There is also this little disclaimer on the bottom of the webpages that states "Disclaimer : The information provided on this site is not legal advice but general information on legal issues commonly encountered when dealing with immigration matters. This site or ImmigrationDirect.com cannot provide legal advice and only provides self-help services at a clients direction. ImmigrationDirect.com is not a law firm or affiliated with the United States government. Purchase price does not include application or filing fees that may be charged by the USCIS or by any other agency."

How did you figure it was a US Gvt site when it states this?
