I purchased 2 cell phones from Wirefly.com in November 2005 on Wirefly.com.com. I am supposed to receive 2 rebates, each $200 for a total of $400.00.

I waited the 2 months, as stated by all the rules and sent them my bill (both of them) paid up to date with all UPC and receipts. [I made copies of everything]

After sending in the paperwork, it took a while for them to acknowledge the paperwork, but it finally showed up on the www.cellphonerebtes.com / www.rebatestatus.com website.

It does show both rebates but nothing has changed since then.

I first starting emailing them in March 1, it the reply has been and till this date is still the same... "Sorry for the inconvenience, your rebate is pending review. Please check back in 2 weeks."

I have checked back every 2 weeks (My email program reminds exactly every 2 weeks). I have gotten the same response EVERY SINGLE TIME.

The last time I inquired, I ask for a name and I got this:
Dear Consumer:

You are communicating with Elisha employee id 9585, Only for this last response. If you have a complaint to make you can either call customer service of write to:

As we have stated before your rebate is still under review. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I later responded, that I don't want to file a complaint I just want my money. Well, that didn't work either. I just got a plain and simple - check back in 2 weeks.

I have pretty much given up hope, and I still can't believe this is happening... $400!!!!! lost!

What really kills me is that if I would have submitted the paper just 1 minute late or made a typo they would have immediately denied my claim, but now they are the ones not following the rules.

If someone out there from inphonic is reading, please contact me if you can help.

I can't believe it! I actually got a $400.00 check!!! As mentioned before, I purchased the phones (2) in Novemeber 2005. I got my checks in 7/06. I followed everything to the T!

I emeiled Doreen Dennis whose info I got from this website. And it paid off I guess. She seemed to help.

NOTE: It is obvious this company had no intentions of ever paying on time. In my opinoin it is a complete scam. Think of the thousands of people they did this to. I am just one person. thinkg about getting a 400$ loan from someone for 10 months with no interest, now multiply that my 100's of thousands. That sounds like a nice way to make money! I believe this is what went on here. Also, many people never even got their money back. I'm one of the lucky few!

Sent another email, advised to check back in 2 weeks. Wow what a surprise. I might as well send an email everyday. Oh well. Still trying. I'm doing everything I can.

Well, it has been a few weeks. So I decided to send another email. Here is what I sent:

Any new news? I spoke with Doreen Dennis and she mentioned the processing center is running behind - however; It has been MONTHS since everything was submitted. Please advise of new update.

Rebate Processor experiencing major delays

Hi Alex,
I am truly sorry that you feel you've been given the run around. I've heard from our outside rebate processing company that they are experiencing a major backup, as much as six weeks (on top of the usual processing time).

Send me an email (ddennis @inphonic.com) with your order number and I'll try to see if I can find out any additional information. While I can't expedite the process I will hopefully at least be able to tell you if your rebates have been approved and when they expect to get the checks out.
