I have been a customer with Insight Communications for years, I have experienced issues with them for quit some time and seem to be stuck with them unless I get Satellite because of this anarchy they having going on to where if one cable company is the main provider in the area, another cable company can't service that area. I know this because I tried to switch to Time Warner after I had moved to a new townhome and had a 3rd party contractor for Insight in my home at the same time Two Men in a Truck were in my home unloading my furniture and after everyone had left I went to go get my laptop out of the original box I had purchased it in and my laptop was gone. It didn't strike me until after the fact, that when the 3rd Party contractor was at my new home doing connections and everything, he had reappeared stating everything was done. I had asked him in he needed me to get my laptop to ensure that the Internet connection was working properly, he had replied with no, there is no need to do that. Needless to say I contacted Two Men in a Truck and they did lie detectors on the movers that were in my home to see if they had stolen the laptop, which came back they weren't responsible for it missing. So which after the conversation I had recalled with the Cable Contractor, I contacted Insight to file this report with them, who replied there wasn't anything they could do about it; Which mad me even more made, because when I went to go get the person's name that was sent out to my house and the time, they couldn't provide me any info. because they said they use contractors and don't have specific names as to who is schedule to come out to the homes. Wow, some business relationship. So needless to say I got screwed out of my laptop because I had no info. that I could take to my local police department.
To top it off continuously throughout they years, I have been dealing with what they consider a "Weak Signal" in my home to where my Premium channels do not come in as they should and they have yet to offer a solution for that, until I fixed it one day day myself by connecting all the connections and wiring in my townhome but it meant me only having cable in my front room as the cable signal I re-routed to downstairs only so the premium channels have just recently begun working as I fixed it and not those whom are experienced and trained in that field. And now oddly enough, My On Demand Feature is not allowing me to access my ON Demand channels as it went from giving me a Error 8012, to a Error 4 message and it is highly frustrating because everytime I call them, they always pass the buck and issue a contractor to come out whom each time they do I follow around the house and hover over them as I have learned my lesson on theiving contractors whom no one keeps info. on. So I have a feeling I will be contacting WOW Cable to see if I can get them to service my townhome because Insight's Customer Service, Contractors and Cable/Internet Connections are horrible and lack what they are constantly trying to do to improve, and they say their technology is the best haha. Makes me laugh thinking about it...Nothing about Insight is the best.
They are a theiving, cheating, company with lack of cust. service skills and repair skills, whom contract outside companies whom match their standards of theiving and cheating.
