 A couple of days ago I received a call from my older brother, he was upset and notified me that my mother was hospitalized with chest pains. My mother is a very strong woman and after my father past, she was left to raise 6 children on her own, do she's one of the toughest ladies I've ever seen. My family and I live in Texas and my mother along with my brothers and sisters live in Indiana. We moved to Texas to be closer to my wife's family who I know she missed terribly. I was unable to leave right away, due to lack of funds in my account. I decided to go online and apply for a small loan so that I may leave to Indiana to be with my mother and the rest of my siblings. I was online and seen an advertisement from ACE Cash Express, so I applied for a $ 500.00 loan and was approved in a matter of minutes and was sent an email by the company, saying the funds would be in my account within the next 24hrs. I wrote up the next day started packing with my wife and planning this dreadful trip of continuous fear for my mother. Around noon I called Ace Cash Express and explained I never received the money yet and they in return, explained the funds had need sent early this morning. I called insight and yes the funds were sent to my account but since my name was not on the ACH electronic check, they would not put the money in my account even though they sent it to the correct account and routing number. They will return the funds back to ACE and they should receive it in 3 to 5 business days. I sat down and wanted to scream and cry in anger but I couldn't, my children 8 & 9 could see the hurt on my face and I didn't want them to worry anymore than they should. I explained my situation to several supervisors and said sorry there's nothing we can do, even though I called them around 20 times being and pleading with them. Two days later I got the call I didn't want, my mother had pat away with all of her children by her side except for me. I was so angry, hurt, and in a mess that I really wanted to go postal I that company. Not to be able to say goodbye to the mother that gave us everything we ever needed and prepared all 6 of us for the real world was devastating. As I'm writing this letter and the tears roll down my face. I know my mother had forgiven me for not being there. As for insight, I will not forgive you and I will no longer do business with you every again and if I could stop everyone else also, believe me I would. To the CEO of insight and the supervisors I spoke with, I hope you lose something or someone that hurts you twice as bad as I've been hurt. With that being said, I would line to say "Mom I love you very much and thank you for everything you've given me but most of all thank you for loving me and I will see you again. Robert. "Texas"

First off I am sorry for the loss of your Mother and do sympathize for you.  Even while you may not see it now, in the long run it is probably good you did not get involved in one of these "payday" loan places with their huge interest rates, where you would end up paying thousands of dollars for this $500 loan.

But with that said, they are the ones you are directing your anger at, but they were not the ones who kept you from your Mother and family.  Oh and I totally expect you to now direct your anger at this, but you would be very good to read on. 

Because unless you are severly that destitute there are several other options you could have done(but if you are in that bad of shape perhaps paying for Internet is not the best idea).

Remember the issue you had was because you attempted to put money into an account that was not yours.  This is a huge tell-tale sign of fraud(even if it isn't YOUR intention).  As such no bank will allow that.  I would even venture a guess that on the application you filled out this was mentioned in the application and terms you agreed.  So why couldn't you get the person who's account it is to apply and you just say you would pay them back?  I won't even go into asking why you don't even have a simple bank account.

If you didn't want to go through them again, why didn't you find another one of the dozens of these types of companies that are out there?

What about your family?  Texas to Indiana is not a huge distance and you can probably have found a cheap airfare or even a bus ticket for well under $500.  You have 5 brothers and sisters, couldn't any of them(or perhaps a couple) loan you the money and you make arrangements to pay them back? What about your wife's family?  How about a good friend?  If you let your "pride" get in your way then unfortunatly that is on you not this company. 

But again you are not talking a huge distance, it is about 900 miles depending on exactly where you are going.  Sure it's not a quick jaunt across town, but it is something you can easily drive in about 15 hours.  Where you would have been there in time to be with your Mom and family.

The other reason I am bringing this up is because even though you didn't mention it I am sure there is going to be a service for her and you should think about a few of these things if you want to make it there for that.
