Instant Checkmate Instant Checkmate advertised on AOL for a free name check. That ended up costing 45.00 Las Vegas, Nevada

An add was placed as one of the AOL highlite features on the daily topic report advertising a free name check.  I entered a name of someone I knew and whose background I was familiar with.  Once the name came up a pricing menu  came up, which had an automatic billing clause in it.  Since it was advertised as free I continued to read. The vendor was offering information that is not authorized  except for law enforcement personnel.  Since I am an ex Law enforcement officer this perked my interest.  The vendor kept using what I consider to be unethical business promises and information promises, including report in PDF form for $1.99.  The end shot was that the final premium report resulted in a name and address plus  telephone number and a sexual offenders who lived near the individuals address.  It was a comeon placed on aol that used unethical promises that could not be kept.  I immediately called to ensure that no follow-on billingh would occur.  AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SCAMMED.
