Instant tax service is a SCAM! I filed my taxes on January 11, 2010 with the expectation that I would receive an Instant tax refund by the 15th. Today is the 27th and I have yet to receive a check. That's not even the big problem. The bigger issue is that I am paying a total of $479 for the processing of this "Instant Tax Return".

I was told by Mike at ITS that the fee is $200 for tax preparation and then there is the additional fee that the bank charges. Well guess what Mike, I did my homework and found out per Tony at Santa Barbara Bank and Trust AKA MetaBank (the bank you use) that they DO NOT GIVE TAX LOANS/RAPID REFUNDS, and you knew this. I was also told that the total fees from the bank are $70.95 and that I will be paying the tax preparer $398. What I want to know is what role is this bank playing in my tax preparation process? and What is the $398 fee covering?

Next issue... you lie! I was told that you would not submit my prepared return to the IRS until I gave you my W2. I have yet to give you my W2, so how is it that per the IRS website, my return is being direct deposited to the banks account on the 29th. And again I ask, what is the banks role? The bank has confirmation that they will receive my check but still, no loan. As far as I am concerned, I would have been in the same boat had I done my own e-file except I would have been $479 richer.

Thanks FOR NOTHING Instant Tax Service

I was reading through all the complaints about Instant Tax Service, I noticed that I was done the exact same way two years in a row. They told me that is I wasn't approve for the rapid it will lower my preparation fee, but the day before I picked up my check I called to make sure my few was lower since I was getting my check 15 days later....The lady told me that it one flat fee and silly of me didn't even think about nothing that was being said. I was charged $408 for the processing. I file at the property located in East St Louis, Illinois. I will be going back to H&R Block for now on.

Its funny how properties in different states are scaming people the exact same way.
