I went to the Instant Tax location in Gainesville, GA on 12/18/2012 to apply for the Line of Credit. I received a $300 dollar check on that day. It seemed as if everyone there received the same amount. I was charged over $500 for that line of credit. I felt as if I was being overcharged but I was assured that there would not be anymore fees and I could later apply for a RAL. Well, I returned to Instant Tax on 1/16/2012 to file my return and apply for the RAL. Was promised by the owner Dan, that I would receive a check on 1/27. I did receive a check for $300 on 1/27 but was told that the IRS did not release funds as they promised. I was assured that I would have my return DD on 1/31. The IRS DD my return into Instant Tax bank (Tax Tree) on 1/31. I have yet to receive my refund. I have spoken with Dan several times and was assured that my refund would be deposited within 24-48 hours. That was a lie. He refuses to give me any contact information for Tax Tree. I am frustrated and feel as if I have been cheated. My refund is in their account collecting intrest. I wish I had never used Instant Tax.

It looks like everything they have told you has happened up until now. So then the IRS deposits your Refund into their account because of your RAL, they tell you to wait 24-48 hours. Yet even if you count the 48 hours from 12:01AM on the 31st, you wrote a RipOff report barely 3 Hours past the 48 hour mark.
Your reasoning for this is because they want to make additional money off of your Interest. Well let's look at that claim. Say you are getting back $5000, and they are able to make a very generous amount of 5%. That is 0.0136% per day that they are earning on your money. That works out to just about $0.68 per day. Heck, the one phone call you made to try and find out where your money was cost them more than that, and you said you made several.
Not saying that this is a "RipOff" or not, but perhaps you should give it a little more time before you start screaming RipOff.

You were told on the 31st to wait 24-48 hours, likely so that the deposit clears. Today will be 48 hours, and we are just at the start of the buisness day. You haven't even given them 48 hours to get you the money yet. Why don't you calm down and call them when they open today and see what they say? At least wait out the 48 hours before claiming you were ripped off...
