Intelius - People Search Didn't deliver as promised - overcharged me - lied about refund Bellevue Nationwide

This company significantly overstates the information it can provide when you buy one of its searches. I recently (8/5/07) purchased a cell phone reverse lookup... the free screen said the name & address were available. But after I completed the information form with all my personal data, and paid $14.95 by credit card, the only info Intelius could provide is the name of the cell phone CARRIER and the city of the CARRIER. Not the person who owns and uses the phone number.

I requested a refund on 8/8/07.

Got a nice though unsigned email from customer service, pasted below.

Then on 8/10/07, I noticed that this company had charged an ADDITIONAL $14.95 to my credit card. I complained. Intelius said that I was mistaken and that this was the ORIGINAL charge, not a duplicate. I still disagree and plan to dispute the charge with my bank first thing Monday morning.

After reading these reports, I am also disturbed that this fraudulent company might use my information after it has taken advantage of me!

Don't order anything from these scammers!
