Intellius.com $$$ for NOTHING! Don't pay for information you already have! Near Redmond Washington

Intellius provided bogus, outdated (8+ years old) information and refused to provide a refund of charges, stating that they had paid their providers "in good faith" to access public records and retrieve the information. NO such caveat is provided to that effect prior to requiring that payment be made before the information is provided.

I already had the 8-year-old address of my friend, as well as his 10-year-old phone numbers. The OLDEST of the addresses was provided as "verified" for a premium charge (I know very well that he sold this property and moved out of state from it in 1999). The phone number under the "verified" contact information was more than 8 years old and serves as a fax line registered to an unrelated party. The other phone number was not in service.

The CSR that I paid to contact (there is no toll-free number for Customer Service) did try to assist by providing me contact information on an individual she thought "might be" the son of the individual I was seeking. But a refund was out of the question for the reasons stated above.

Attractively marketing a broken system that produces garbage is no excuse for demanding that consumers pay for that garbage. I strongly recommend that no one engage the services of Intellius unless and until the company is capable and willing to provide a moneyback guarantee of the quality of the information for which they expect you to pay.
