Having worked in the past as a Management Consultant and currently the owner of a small company that is suffering from erratic sales, I was curious so I allowed the so called "Analyst" to come over for what I thought was going to be 1-1/2 hours and turned out to be two days.

He made notes, went through my financial records, faxed pages to his experts at the home office and asked me what I thought the problems were. Being very straight forward I told him I was great at working with clients and producing the products they require, but lousy at figuring out how to increase my sales and I'm not particularly gifted at marketing. Having an accounting background helped me quickly figure out that this man did not truely understand financial statments as he asked me what the "Retained Earnings" figure meant and a few other questions that showed his ignorance. I was really hoping for a fresh perspective on things and only received parroting from this man. Not once did he offer any constructive advice or have anything insightful to say. All he did was try to manipulate me into saying I wanted to continue on with my marginal business and that I needed their help. When I tried to pin him down as to specifically what they thought they could do he of course couldn't tell me what plan the expert in my field they would be sending would come up with.

I did get suckered into paying him the $300 survey fee which I should not have paid because he never produced any kind of survey or report, but when I declined further services he was rather agressive about getting the money so I took the path of least resistance - shame on me. I think I will cancel the check tomorrow. I know that anytime some one does not want to give you the time to think about your decision or how to proceed it is time to close the door on that person or thing as that seems to be how all the scamers operate - especially these guys.
