Near the end of April, I received an email about starting your own online business. I checked it out. There was a $2.97 shipping charge to have the information mailed to you. I signed up to have that information sent to me.

A few days ago, while checking the transactions on my credit card, I noticed a charge for $139.95. It said ICM WEBSITES 877-863-3088. I called the phone number, inquired what the charge was for, and was told it was an activation fee. I told the individual I had not authorized any other charges on my credit card other than the $2.97 shipping fee. I was told the $139.95 activation fee was automatically applied since I had not cancelled within the allotted time period.

I had no idea what they were talking about. While still on the phone with them, they re-directed to the website and had me enter a fake name, address, etc so I could get on the website without be billed again. Then they walked me through the website and instructed how to open up additional pages where this information was stored. There it stated that if one did not cancel within the 3 day trial period, they would apply the $139.95 activation charge. I immediately protested. This information should been listed up front rather than hidden away in another area of the website. I asked them to cancel everything. I told them I wanted no part of this business, I wanted those charges removed from my credit card. They told they would not do that. I told this is a scam, this is illegal what they are doing. They were very argumentative and stated what they were doing was perfectly legal. A few days after first contacting them, the information for the website arrived in the mail, approximately 3-4 weeks after signing up for it. I called them several times, demanding my money back. They just argue with me and state what they are doing is perfectly legal.

Since then, they have updated the website, and now they list the activation fee on first page. Theyve increased the activation fee to $149.95, Im not sure why. I have had $139.95 charged to my credit card through deception, not by my authorization. These individuals need to be stopped. I want my money back.
