Internet Speedway, $1600 down the drain.

I bought their system under the false pretense that they could drive 10,000 customers to my website if I bought it from them, they told me I would be making money within one month. They failed to mention that their warehouse, the dropshipper service that they offer or are linked with, is by far much more expensive than retail price anywhere. that is, 90 % of the merchandise that they sell as 'wholesale price' is more expensive than any retail store.

THerefore...... no way to make a sale. I followed their advice trying to make it work, paid for paypal to accept credit card sales, and there are other expenses to add words, drove trafic there, spent money, upgraded, etc. It is fair to say that I was not able to sell one item. I originally had paid them to design the site, I later found out that they just used a template, had to add my own animation.

Not once did they mention all the additional expenses that you would have to pay for for any chance to get any sales going. I purchased several items myself and frankly, I was disapointed in the quality, and would never have brought them in a store if I had seen them first. You would have to spend abbout 20 hours a week and maybe more in the beginning to get this business off the ground. I had asked for help several times and didn't get any real help from them. Finally I just gave up. Now it would be nice to get a refund on at least 75% of my initial uinvestment

Bottom line is, I got my money back!!!! How many out there can say that?

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2008

I have explained how I got my money back, and frankly I don't need Chris from Mesa second guessing my logic or how I did it. Frankly Chris, if I wanted your opinion I would have given it to you first. Chris, opinions are like as***les, everybody has one (and some people actually have two)... So don't tell me how I got it wrong, OK! If Speedway didn't believe they had done something wrong, I certainly wouldn't have had my money refunded in total.

It doesn't matter how many hits they give you, nobody was interested in buying the products. I was the only one to actually buy anything though the site, and that was because of the discount. And really I wasn't that impressed with the items. Has anyone else gotten a refund? Now the only reason I got involved with paypal was because I was following the instructions of the support staff at Speedway. I simply never made a penny with Speedway. I asked numerous (12 to be exact) times for help. They had a copy of all my emails when I spoke to them later and they appologized to me for not responding to my requests for help. They then offered me a way out and finally I took it.

This is all I have to say....I will not write again here...

Good luck to all ,
John, Brooklyn

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Internet speedway. I heard about them a few years ago and yes they have been burning people for a while. I was looking for a good drop shipping company and I found one that is awesome and it take very little to get going they have no monthly fees and it paid for it self in the first couple of months the investment was only 150.00 to get everything set up with extra fees

Incorrect Information

AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 08, 2008

Ok first off The information you have submitted it incorrect. If indeed you did pay for the upgrade in which you would be guaranteed 10,000 hits it is explained at the inital time of purchase that the 10,000 hit come throughout the year. Also your probibly telling yourself well I would have never go it if I understood that (For some reasons people these days do not know how to listen to details) I would have never gotten it, well if you knew anything about the Internet and the way it works with search engines then you would know that if Google.com, Yahoo.com, MSN.com, Amazon.com, ,ect.. you would know that if they see that you get 10,000 hits in one day its prob either A. fake, or B. not done on a fair standard. Now keep in mind the way we do it is correct and not looked down on, the hits that you receive are from "Parked Pages" meaning that if someone clicks on a link to a site or and advertisement that it brings them to your site. So enought with this.

Second, you have to keep in mind that at Ispeedway they have not only hundreds if not thousands of people calling them everyday and depending on the day during the week and the time of day is how long you will have to wait to speak with someone. Lets says that you call at 1:00 pm on a Monday, your gonna wait a least a good 10 mins on hold because Monday is the busiest day during the week, and at 1 pm you have alot of people just getting off of work and wants to call in and get help just like you. The support teams are there 6 days a week, so there should never be a reason why you could not get through unless you are to impatient to wait for another CUSTOMER to have his problem fixed.

Now on to the prices, oh how I love how naive people are in the online business world. First and for most the most important reason for online shopping is conveniences! Most people either A. dont have time to go to the store and look and then choose and then pay for, so they go online where they can type in exacly what they need and then have it shipped to their house. Second reason for online shopping, maybe someone cant find a certain item they want in stores, but we have it on the online store, most of the time the person wants that item so bad that they might pay a little more for the product. And lastly no 90% of the product our higher that retail value. I highly dought that you went through 10,000 different products and compared their prices to every other store that could possibly sell that item, also the price fluctouates with POPULARITY, if something is popular right now and everyone wants one, the price is going to be higher, everyone is trying to make money, therefore it causes what Americans call INFLATION, meaning the demand goes up and so does the price.

Oh and one last piece of Information, if you have to pay for Paypal then you should not be running a online store anyways, because paypal give you a FREE Business Account so that you can accept Credit Cards and other paypal account, Now if you tried to get their PREMIERE Account that is what is Called a MERCHANT ACCOUNT, that is all dependant off of your credit. And if you were not able to sell anything within the first month that because you are what called a dreamer and you think that "Hey I am only paying $9.95 and that means I am now going to make millions!" your wrong you will only make what you put into it, so if you think that you should not be in the nature of owning your own business.

Thank you and have a nice day

Internet Speedway, Inc Final update!

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 28, 2008

I have already told my story of how I got involved with Internet Speedway, and now I just want to inform you about what this has taught me. I consider myself the luckiest guy to ever get involved with IS Inc., since I was able to get ALL my money back. I have not heard from anyone with their story of how they were able to get their refund, and I sincerely hope that I am not the only one! This has shown me that if I want a website to showcase my artwork, origami pieces or to market many of the origami creations as kits, that I will have to create it myself. And that is just what I have started to do!

I have started to organize and create a unique website that will used flash for animation and displays the creations that I love so much. Of course, the best part is that it will not cost me $1600! When it is finally created and running I hope to come back so that everyone here can come and check it out. It will highlight my artistic name and creations from "Johnny Origami", and showcase unique one of a kind creations, and there will be kits with instructions for sale if you want to try your hand at creating your own origami creations from plastic cards.

Best of luck to everyone out there who are trying to recover their investment. I have shown the path I used to get my money back, it is now up to the rest of you to find your own path, follow mine, or start a class action suit to get your money back.

Like John in New York, I was listening to our local news station on the way home from work and heard the ad for Internet Speedway. Of course I was interested. Based on my prior experience with the Unlimited Wealth Package crap, I was also skeptical. As I learned from my own mistake with UWP, I searched Ripoff Report BEFORE going to Internet Speedway's website.

Thank you, John, for the report and updates. I do believe the comment regarding "get rich quick scheme" was more of a slash at what these businesses attempt to do: They attempt to convince us, the entrepreneur, to buy into their "plan" for minimal amount of money and time, and turn it into a boatload of (fictitious) cash. This only puts money in THEIR pockets. As John states, and as I accomplished myself with UWP, getting your money back is often a long road. These scam artists (like UWP, iSpeedway) are banking on us to give up the refund fight or continue to play their game until we give up the car, the house, the college tuition, etc.

I don't know if this information was there when John created the original post, but now I'm on Internet Speedway's website. They claim a 30-day money back guarantee, no up-front investment, and they're claiming to be a "strong, reputable and reliable" company. I guess they don't visit this website! There is quite a bit more of these professional-sounding claims on their website. That's what they do. That's why they continually get people to sign-up.

We are vulnerable. We see the words "huge profits" and "make money now". We don't see "The scam artist will make money now and will make huge profits off of you." These companies don't come here to post their side or clear their name - they are too busy counting the money you and I handed to them.

Good post and thank you for the warning!

How sweet it is! I just got the check from internet speedway...$1600!!!!

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 10, 2008

Now I am speaking from the point of view of one who got his money returned. Internet Speedway didn't have to return it but they did. I don't know why, I can only guess, but I say this, if I can get a total refund surely I can not be the only one who ever did so. I wonder how many others there are? I would love to hear from them if possible.

This is addressed to Thomas, who wanted to know why I insulted Steve the way I did. I hate people who think they know about everything, and who have their heads so far up their rears' that they haven't a clue about what is going on. He called Internet Speedway a "get rich quick scheme", and that really pissed me off. How can you call a business a "get rich quick scheme" that takes months to get off the ground, where you have to spend weeks learning how it all works, and where you start with just a few purchases a week, if you are lucky, and finally, one in which you have to spend hundreds on other web sites for additional services to make it all work?

I didn't ask the idiot for his opinion, but having given it, he is now subject to my opinion of him! His mistake was in not knowing how sharp a pen I had in my pocket. I was totally content with all that I had already written to him, and had no intention of bringing him up again, as I'm sure he has no intention of voicing any other opinions for me to read. After all a smart man knows how to hide his ignorance, and he has much to hide. I had clearly explained myself in my last update, so I assume you understand my position in this matter. I simply wanted to give hope to all those who have lost money with Internet Speedway. Hope that if they knew how I was able to get a refund that there might be a way for them to get their money back too. I had bad mouthed I.S. Inc, as much as anyone else here, but I can only hope that I have paved the way for all the others to follow.
Good luck to all,

And I guess to "As advertised on TV!" we should add "As advertised on Radio!"

"I have already called CD101.9 radio station, which is where is heard the intial commercial, to file a compliant with them informing them of this site for them to be aware of the scam they are helping perpertrate. I told them that I was very angry with their station since I got involved with this business based on the fact that I assumed it was ligitimate because I heard the ad on their station. "

Internet Speedway is just anothr DropShip dream broker!

AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 08, 2008

Internet Speedway is just another company peddling the "drop shipping dream".

The pitch is this:
"YOU CAN MAKE EASY MONEY BY JUST LISTING OUR PRODUCTS AND WE WILL SHIP THEM TO YOUR CUSTOMER'S FOR YOU"

This is drop shipping. And, working with a drop shipping company like this NEVER works. The concept was meant for retail stores and catalog sales but with the advent of the internet companies like Internet Speedway have been trying to convince people that it is a new revolutionary way to make money online.

If it was as easy as putting your store with their products online, wouldn't they just do that and sell direct to the public? Heck, they even give you the traffic. WHY would they do that?

Internet Speedway is a SCAM since they do not even provide what they promise. Sure, a business opportunity is NOT a SCAM just because you do not profit with it, but when they LIE and do NOT provide what they promise then it crosses the line.

As for drop shipping. Don't buy anything that trys to sell you the "drop shippnig dream". Go to GOOGLE and do a search for "drop shipping sucks" and you will see how people really feel about drop shipping.

The best of luck to you. I would contact the radio stations and let them know that their advertisers have these ripoff reports. Get them HERE on the ripoff report so they can see for themselves!

How sweet it is! I just got the check from internet speedway...$1600!!!!

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 05, 2008

OK, now that I got every penny refunded to me, I can tell you how I did it! I had origuinally heard about internet speedway on an ad from my favorite radio station CD-101.9 in New York City, and recently I keep hearing more ads, and I just kept getting more angry with each commercial. So I took a few minutes and sent the station 2 emails telling them all about internet speedway.

In the last email I sent a link to this site, and told them that there were a hundred complaints from people who felt as I did that they had been riped off. I also added that the radio station should take heed with what I was telling them, that there was going to be a class action suit and that they would be named since they were facilating internet speedway's scam of millions from innocent investors. That I had only gotten involved with them because I trusted the radio station, and would never have believed that they would ever air an ad that would ripoff hundreds of people.

TWO days later I heard from internet speedway, offering me whever I wanted to make it RIGHT. I actually wanted to continue with them trying to develop my web site. But unfortunately, after several phone conversations within the next few days, including several emails with pictures of the items I wanted to sell online and after asking them for everything they promised me in writing, I didn't hear from them again for two weeks.

That's when I decided the hell with it, let me take my 100% refund, consider myself lucky, and just take the refund and run. They kept their promise, and the check arrived today! I would have gladly posted a copy of the check if it were possible here for all to see for themselves. But I do have a copy for future reference to show all those who don't believe me!

Of course I would remove any critical info to protect their account. I also got a refund of the $39 I sent for the initial CD package. I wish everyone good luck in getting their money back. This is how I did it, I have no idea if it will work for anyone else.

So I end this update with a message to Steve who is so smart and who had so much to say about getting involved with a "get rich quick scheme". Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one! Of course, you Steve are special, because you have two, the one you sit on and yourself. Should ever anyone ask you for an opinion about anything, don't say a word until I tell you what your opinion should be!

Internet Speedway, Inc. Ispeedway got back to me and offered to return my money. Masa Arizona

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 04, 2008

I want to update my report with the following information. ispeedway.com got in touch with me and offered to "try to make it right" and that if I wasn't 100% satisfied with how they were going to do for me they would refund my money without any questions being asked. This was about 10 days ago and I have not received any money as of yet, but this person i spoke to sounded very sincere. I even got an email from her that I was getting a total retund of $1639, which was everything I had invested in ispeedway.

I am not sure just how it happened, because I wasn't told how it all came about, however, I had sent several emails to the radio station where I had heard the original commercial, detailing my experiences with ispeedway and how there was going to be a class action suit and that they would also be named since they were facilitating ispeedway with they "scam". I also sent a link to this site so that they could see all the reports themselves. It was two days later that I heard from ispeedway with their offer.

Ispeedway told me that they had my 12 emails to them requesting help, and that they had let me down. I was offered a new website, training with their college, and additional help in setting up my site free. I was in shock and I accepted their offer, with the understanding that if I wasn't satisified with their efforts I would request a 100% refund. I received several more calls and at that point I requested that I get everything I had been told in writing. Well I didn't hear from them again and after two weeks I decided to request the total refund I had been offered. I am supposed to get that in a check soon, but I did want to make this update available now.

In the future I will be a little more specific as to how I got this far. I seem to be the only one to ever get any kind of refund offer, and I wanted to share this glimmer of hope with everyone here. Maybe I'm the lucky one, but really I can't believe that... there must be something going on that I just don't know about.

Just one more thing, this is for dear Steve, who is so full of advice (and full of crap) about how not to invest in any get-rich-scheme. You are an even bigger idiot than me. Firstly, how can selling something online be a get rich quick scheme? Since advertizing, getting people to go to the web site, marketing and planning all take time and in the end it doesn't guarantee a sale. This would have been the slowest get rich quick scheme known to man. I trusted the radio station CD101.9 (which was my favorite) to at least check out who places ads with them. So Steve should you ever have an opinion about anything, let me give it to you before you open your big mouth! Find out what you are talking about before you show your ignorance.

I think good old fashioned common sense should have prevailed here!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 09, 2008

John,

Sorry to hear you got ripped off.

However, there is no such thing as fast money or get rich quick, unless it is an inheritance, or you hit the lottery. Short of that, there is no LEGAL get rich quick scheme that will ever work.

BEFORE giving ANYONE $1600, it is up to you to perform DUE DILIGENCE. There are literally thousands of scams out there.

And, advertisers are equal to BIG REVENUE. Therefore, a radio station or TV station is more likely to side with a big advertiser, than take 1 consumers side.

There really is nothing ilegal here. Just poor judgement.

Internet Speedway...I just canceled my account today (1/9/08)

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 09, 2008

I had to cancel my account with them to prevent them from taking any more money from my checking account in the future. I have already called CD101.9 radio station, which is where is heard the intial commercial, to file a compliant with them informing them of this site for them to be aware of the scam they are helping perpertrate. I told them that I was very angry with their station since I got involved with this business based on the fact that I assumed it was ligitimate because I heard the ad on their station.

That eventually there will be some kind of class action suit and that they would probably be named in the suit, since they continue to advertize this ripoff. I told them to check out this website to see just how many people were being ripped off, and for them to STOP advertizing this scam. Their number is (212) 352-1019, and I hope more people call and complain to them or any other radio station that runs their ad, until their ears fall off or they stop promoting this rip-off. Has anyone started a class action suit???? If you do please add my name to it!

Internet Speedway, complete ripoff.

Since I filed my ripoff report, I have not gotten a single sale or even a single call from them as to why I wan't making any money. Why should they call me? They already got my money, and they knnow that it doen't work. Only chance to make it work is to sell my own items, something I create unique and that can't be found anywhere else online. So I am looking into that possibly simply so as not to loose my intiial investment. Of course, I am totally disapointed in both them and my self for allowing myself for getting into this crap. Why hasn't a class action suit been started????? If one is started, please count me in, cause they guys deserve to be put out of business NOW.
