I had a web hosting reseller account and a website through Ipowerweb for a few years. My website came up for renewal, so I renewed the account with a credit card and the charge appeared on my statement. To my dismay, Ipowerweb did not update my account to show my payment. I emailed the billing department, and they assured me my account would be updated within 24 hours. The account was not updated, so I emailed the billing department again. They sent the same response. The account was not updated. We exchanged a few more heated emails, then Ipowerweb disabled all of my email accounts I had with them. My clients could no longer communicate with me!

I again contacted customer support using a different email account. They informed me that they were changing the server and the account would be updated when they were complete. Again, these were empty promises.

I continued a series of over 50 email exchanges attempting to get the problem resolved. They finally informed me that the server update was complete and they sent me a new login password to the email that they had deactivated, so I never received it. After another barrage of emails, they finally gave me my login information. After logging into the new server, it showed my account as deactivated and unpaid.

I then received an email that they would be automatically renewing my account and charging the credit card they had on file. Fortunately, I was able to block the charge before it happened. Ipowerweb refused to acknowledge the charge already made.

After another barrage of emails to support and billing, I was finally able to get my domain names unlocked so I could transfer them to a new registrar. Ipowerweb has left the old server for my web hosting account online, at least for the time being. So I updated the website to commemorate my experience with Ipowerweb. You can see it at (((link redacted))).
