When hired by these scam artists I was made to sign a "sign on bonus clause". It stated that after 30 days of employment I would recieve a $1,200.00 bonus consisting of $300.00 cash, a cruise valued at $600.00, and $300.00 worth of training.
After signing the required documents (1099, sign on bonus clause, non-compete, etc), we were ushered into the "phone room", where we listened to a sales rep for approx. 1 1/2 hours, then were told to get on the phones and sell on- line yellow page ads. Needless to say, I was worried about their tactics.
After 6 days of 6 1/2 hour shifts, I decided that this place was not for me. I called and quit. According to the documents I signed my pay would be reduced from $8.50 an hour to minimum wage, but I accepted that. They informed me that my pay check would be mailed.
6 days later and no paycheck. I called to see what the problem was and was told that $300.00 worth of "training" was deducted from my pay, leaving me NOTHING. According to them I breached the contract I signed (sign on bonus) when I quit. I contend that THEY breached the contract when they did not provide training. They hire you as an independent contractor, but according to the IRS, you are not.
So, I have turned them into the IRS, hired a lawyer, and plan to sue, not for money, but for principle. I, unlike most of their employees, did not need to work. I was a bored housewife that has the money to make their lives miserable, and I plan to do just that.
Never should somebody work a total of 39 hours and not be paid. Captain Dave and his Cohorts (Jennifer Ferguson) are scammers and need to be shut down. Quite frankly, I don't know how they sleep at night abusing the law with "loop-holes".

It is amazing that people stay on a job, seeing wrong doings going on, and until it effects them personally, they look the other way...NO SUPRISE !!
What is wrong with this picture folks ?
You saw the goings on, but said nor did nothing. As long as you were getting money in your pocket uyou stay with your mouth tightly shut -
Now you claim money is owed to you. You claim they SCREWED you over...why is it that you suddenly sat up and realized ( according to you ) you got SCREWED. You knew without a doubt the goings on in the office. You knew there may have been questionable business practices going on... yet as long as it didn't effect you ... you steered away from any complaints. Now you got the screws put to you, and you want to go to COURT- Want to write to the State Attorney, and every other person or entity out there. Hey guy, you should have opened your mouth if and whern you felt something was wrong . So, you basically are now saying...I want my day in Court because I got SCREWED over by David Phillips... why didn't you LEAVEthe place when you saw the daily goings on ? Why...because you got what you wanted... and when someone SMARTER than you screwed you over....you complained. You know what...maybe you will learn that in this world you have to draw the line in the stand...and say...I have had enough... you didn't until after the fact you didn't get your just rewards you claim you were entitled to... hummmmmmm.
If you think you were screwed over ... write to The Attorney General, The Florida Bar , Congressman Mel Martinez, Hillsborough County District Attorney, The FBI,
and document everything you are saying in writing. You need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that what was going on in their office weas questionable. If they were in fact doing anything wrong... write it down on papoer. Oh, the BBB won't be of any HELP to yopu, don't waste your time even writing them.
If you want to sue them...make sure you go to SUNBIZ.org.... get the names of everryone on the company documents and sue everyone.
I was there 4 months... and left after I starting seeing things I could not understand... but that is neither here nor there !!

I would like to start off by saying that I have been with this company for over two years and I am a little tired of ex employees bad mouthing what I consider my company. I am not the owner but we are a small business and everyone is considered family. I know the writer of the report that I am responding to and I would like to say that I had such high hopes for you and even thought you would make a great manager some day. Unfortunately to be let down by the fact that you have terrible work ethics. No one forced you to sign anything. You signed documents at your own free will and those documents were created because of people like you. My training consists of 4 hours of individual training, going over all of the information that one would need to be successful, role playing and much more. After which you were trained by the top sales person who again took 3 hours of her time to answer your questions, help you understand the process and put you in a position where you can make a living. I am tired of lazy people like you that are NO CALL NO SHOWS (what kind of person are you) and then expect for everyone to bend over backwards for you. You signed the documents, you knew the rules before you started, I bet if you would have made it 30 days, which I doubt, you would have expected your sign on bonus. You are a disgrace to the people out there that really want to work. I had to pass on some very qualified individuals because you took up a position.
Once again, you knew the rules and no one forced you to sign anything. I asked several times during the course of our conversations if anyone had any questions, concerns or comments about the paperwork and your only response was how excited you were about the cruise. I now understand why you are not employed...I want to reiterate that this is a great company to work for. We are providing a great service to business owners in the Caribbean and for those of you that have nothing better to do then post negative things on line, I wish you the best of luck. You will probably never amount to anything and you will forever blame everyone else for your issues.
