Everything they say about iWorks clients is all true. There is absolutely no one to call or to negotiate with regarding a refund. Management won't get on the phone to talk to you or find out what is your problem. Lots of nothing.

As a client, you absolutly get short coaching sessions. You get some useless CD's and worthless booklets. I had two different coaches most of the time was spent going over what we talk about the previous session. Lots of assignments which by the way made you spend more money on more online services and search engines.

The coaches would not call you back but send you en email and hopefully you could take it from there. Lots of note taking and no one to check your work or your webpage to know if you knew what you where doing.

Never had any luck calling the coaching office. No one seems to have ownership of the clients and does any follow up to see how you are doing. The person who initialy called me was no where to be found to discuss with him my concerns. you pay for so much and get so little. I still had one more session left. I tried to contact the training office to continue but was unsuccessful.

I don't think I made a $30 profit. I lost $7000, but nothing compared to the time I lost and the stress it put on me and the family. I can not understand how they are still out there ripping people off. If there is anything that can be done about this I would love to find out.

It is obvious there are many folks that feel ripped off by this company. iWorks does manage to get away with it. I agree that there are very unprofessional once you're involved with them.

I would love to receive some dues back to me and see this company get what it deserves.

#4 Consumer Comment

Iworks is a ripoff

AUTHOR: Danny - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 15, 2007

First off I would like to say Felipe I feel your pain; while reading your post it very much reminded of the report I filed. I think that the only thing we can do as victims is post our stories on ripoffreport.com for two reasons. To help others from making the same mistakes and if there ever is a class action suit that we just might get a little revenge. I think this website is great and should be viewed prior to doing business with any organization.

As for Sandra's comments I feel that they are false and I base it on my personal experience in dealing with Iworks. Iworks sells you on the fact that it will take time to make a profit; I was told give it a year and you will see the hard work pay-off. Therefore most people (like myself) work hard spending endless hours to make it pay-off in the end. By the time you realize that you have been scammed it's too late to get a refund. I lost about $4000 and over 1,000 hours to only make about $50 dollars. Sandra you are obviously just an ex-employee and not an actual victim of your previous employer. If you were to buy what your company sells you would have a better understanding on how they are practically robbing people. Iworks list of complaints continues to grow on ripoffreport.com and will only keep growing, but I do not believe that everyone that gets ripped off by Iworks actually reports it. Some do not know about the website other take their wounds and just lick them.

I'm not the type of person that blames my problems on other things and have been able to have a successful life despite set backs like doing business with Iworks. I have fortunately only been ripped off twice; once by Iworks and the other time was only for $30 in a magazine sale scam. Iworks got me when I was young and nave, but it was a life lesson that I will never forget. Sleazy organizations will take money from you and have no remorse about it and if something sounds too good to be true then it is.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

You CAN get ahold of IWorks!!!!

AUTHOR: Sandra - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 16, 2005

I worked for IWorks for several years and I can tell you that all you have to do is call 1-888-817-0634 and ask for either Cody or Ryan and they WILL take care of your refund. Depending on which program you purchased you have up to 1 year to get a refund and they are more then happy to do so.

IWorks has tried very hard to resolve any complaints people have had and as you can see by the BBB they have no open files. As with any other company you can not use the services for months and then ask for a refund because there are people who learn what they need to and then want to cancel and get their money back!

With the amount of sales they have every year there have only been a small amount of complaints, even on this site. When you think that they sell over 10,000 programs per year and have less then 10 complaints on Rip-offreports.com that is a pretty good record, regardless of what the bitter ones say. It does take work on the clients behalf and there are people out there who think that the coaches will just do everything for you and all you have to do is rake in the grants and that is totally false!!!! You have to do your part as well but if you are not happy then call the 888 number and you can get your money back. But first you have to make the effort to call the phone number and speak to Cody or Ryan!
