Jared Shafer, owner of Professional Fiduciary Services of Nevada located in Las Vegas, practices financial exploitation of our senior citizens as well as general elder abuse, all of which is sanctioned by the Clark County court system, which is the location of Mr. Shafers guardianship business. Jared Shafer developed his skills in elder abuse, exploitation, and fraud as a public guardian and administrator for Clark County over a period of 25 years.  He and his compliant assistant, Patience Bristol, who recently acquired a professional guardianship license, are very adept at taking advantage of elders who have children and families living outside of the state of Nevada. Nevada does not recognize that these retired seniors have children and loving relatives that can and want to take care of their own family members. Nevada is highly skilled at attracting retired seniors to live in the state, many unknowing elders move to Nevada, not knowing they left a safety net of caring relatives behind.  If these seniors become sick, someone like Shafer takes charge of their finances. Once Jared Shafer takes over a ward and the bank accounts,, he redirects their hard-earned pension checks, social security checks and veteran benefit checks directly to his office. The money is funneled through AVID Business services, which is a non-existent company. This activity evades taxes to Shafer and his group. Jared Shafer lies to the families about turning over the guardianship. He pits family members against each other. He intimidates and threatens family members. He used Patience Bristol as a front person, because she appears to be young and pleasant, at least in the beginning of the relationship. We are talking about master manipulators of deceit, conniving individuals, and experts in intimidation.  Many of Jared Shafers wards are veterans who have served and fought for our freedoms. A large number of Shafers wards are vets and the family court of Clark County does nothing to protect our senior vets from civil rights violations. The family court of Clark County acts as if they are above the law, blatantly stating "yes Shafer violated this regulation, but because noone complained, we will let it pass. John NorHeim, Clark County's guardian commissioner is on video making this statement. The corrupt practices extend to refusing wards the right to an attorney and not allowing them to speak for themselves during court hearings. Shafer and the family court system continue to violate certain laws put in place to protect veterans who are under guardianship. Unfortunately, the Las Vegas guardianship commissioner, Jon Norheim, ignores this law. In fact, the commissioner doesnt listen to anything the family members, wards, or their attorneys have to say. He seems to do what Jared Shafer and his attorneys want. You can read evidence about this in the Duke productions article found on the Internet.  In fact, several families want to testify about Shafer's bragging about controlling the judges. Shafer has boasted to many different family members of wards about how he controls the commissioner and judges. Many veterans are wards of Shafer and their rights as veterans and citizens have been grossly violated. Over 100 Shafer clients have reported a serious violation of civil rights by Jared Shafer and Patience Bristol.   Jared Shafer is currently guardian of close to 200 wards and he is draining every penny from each one of them. Even one of his associates at Wells Fargo openly states that Shafer is a very powerful and influential man. This statement is very dangerous to our seniors because even some bank employees may be closely working with him.  Nevada allows the guardians to spend the wards money on Shafer's personal attorneys so that he has no problem dragging families through a financial hell of multiple hearings and court proceedings because he simply doesn't have to pay out of his pocket. In addition, Shafer bills the families of seniors for his time going to court to resolve a dispute, which he caused. The Nevada family court has quite a racket to take money from seniors in Las Vegas with this guardianship scam. Shafer told me "what I care about is simply the money. nothing more nothing less." Making money off unsuspecting seniors is simply another source of revenue for a state that doesn't charge a state income tax. Wards are treated like a piece of property only to be exploited for not paying that precious state tax. Shafer behaves like a small child who believes other people's money belong's to him. He has drained hundreds, if not thousands of family estates, leaving nothing for  the beneficiaries of the wards.  Jared Shafer and the family court of Clark County, Nevada, must be stopped from further exploitation and abuse of our precious elders and veterans.  Disabled individuals of all ages have also been victims of this exploitation and abuse.  We need more individuals to come forward and speak out against Jared Shafer and others like him. The word is out that several federal and state agencies are investigating him and all his associates, including the IRS, Social Security, GAO, and a State committee in Carson City. It is time to come forward and stop Jared Shafer from committing more guardianship abuse and exploitation of elders, veterans and disabled human beings.
