JBC Legal Group PC alleged that I wrote a bad check refused to provide documentation of debt Bloomfield New Jersey
*Consumer Suggestion: Then let's go! Tell them you'd be mopre than HAPPY to see them in court!
JBC Legal Group has sent me several letters about a bounced check that I supposedly passed in 1995. Upon request for verification, they told me to call my bank and send them a copy of the bounced check.
I have disputed in writing to them the validity of the debt. I have requested documentation of the debt and they have ignored the request.
I pointed out to them in writing that even if the debt was valid, it was beyond the statute of limitations for collecting it.
Their response has been send letters requesting payment and threatening litigation. Each letter comes with an increased amount of money owed.

The law is actually on your side here, and you may be entitled to SUE them and get yourself $1,000!
Here's the skinny my friend. You need to send them a letter by certified, return receipt mail, that states you demand PROOF of the debt. Proof being a copy of this supposed check. If they cannot provide you with that proof, demand that they cease collection atempts as well as reporting the information to ANY AND ALL AGENCIES!!!! Sending the letter by certified, return receipt mail provides you with PROOF they received you correspondence.
Good luck!
