I bought a round trip ticket on Jet Blue for $403.90. Within 24 hours I decided I wanted to come home a day early. I called Jetblue and got a recording saying that I would be charged $25 to make any reservations or changes on the phone.
I went on line and clicked on change/cancel flight and rebooked it to return one day eariler. It appeared that the fare would go from $403.90 to $434.90, an increase of only $31 so I decided to do it.
When I got my credit card bill, I was charged both $403.90 and $434.90, total of $838.80!!
I called Jetblue. They said I should have called them to change the reservation and they would refund the money. So I went on my trip. When I returned from the trip and looked on the web to see my credit card account, I see they refunded me only $130. I called again, again was on the phone for over an hour. This time they said they would not refund any more than the $130 and that the fare increased and I needed to pay that increase. I never would have made the change if I had known it was going to cost me double!!
Jetblue should state on their website that if you want to change a reservation, you must call them on the phone. They should state on their website that if you want to change a reservation within 24 hours, the no charge applies only if you call them on the phone and does not apply if you make the change on their website.
Do not buy tickets from JetBlue.

Same situation different day

One of my calls to a supervisor went like this, "you should have called instead of repurchasing the ticket online."My answer to that is: You cannot get through during a winter storm. Hold times were 45 - 70 minutes.
