Jk Harris will string u alone until u have paid your monthly bill down to nothing. The whole time they try to give the best impression that your IRS situation is being tooking care of. What really is happening is that they hope u will grow frustrated an just disappear , and with the added hope u get eating up by the IRS.
Asking for your money back is as just as crazy as when u first signed up. No-where land. They will try to stall u out on that situation. U can never win with JK Harris & Company. I cannot imagine how a company could thrive for so many years and the Government would not shut them down. They actually seem to be working with the IRS. Because your fee's with the IRS can only go one way ---- up.
I started at $90k with IRS and with JK Harris on 9/19/06. Put $1947.00 dwn --balance of $3953.00 .... total $5900.00. I now owe the IRS over $150k.
They should even be allowed to lie to the public like they do. It seems ironic they talk bad about the IRS , but actually "gift" wrap u for the IRS. eric

Josh Baker Corporate Spokesperson

Josh Baker is only the corporate spokeman for JK Harris not the decision or policymaker.Comments I have heard is that he is excellent at answering
complaints and directing clients to the proper departments. On a personal
note I had the pleasure of sharing some adult beverages with him at a
West Palm Beach strip club last month and I can assure you he is a nice
man and a good fellow to be around.

don't fall for the jk harris refund crap
AUTHOR: Alan - (U.S.A.)

I too was ripped off by jk harris and stopped payments to them, I asked for my money back, they sent a form that they had agreed to refund $385.00 to me, I signed the form and returned it to them, fully expecting my refund, nothing ever came. they are liars and thieves. Companies like this are the scourge of this country. Yet to this day they advertise here in Mn. jk harris can't do anything about problems with the irs that consumers can't do themselves.
Even the irs website says that only about 1% of oic's are accepted, in my case the sales person, looked me in the eye and said my irs trouble would be settled for $500.00. Of course he sold me a bill of no goods for the tidy sum of over $2500.00 But after nothing happened, I stopped paying them, So at least they didn't get me for the whole twenty five hundred plus.
They didn't do a thing for me, except change email addy's and phone numbers, I could never get anything but run around.

Eric,
Our goal at JK Harris is to provide excellent customer service. As is stated on our service contract, an Offer in Compromise is not something that we can guarantee. That decision lies with the IRS. Preparing for and submitting all the documents to IRS for an OIC is a lengthy process, as the IRS requires the most up to date documents to make its determination.
We regret that you have chosen to terminate your contract with JK Harris prior to submission of your Offer. Please be advised that a refund determination letter was put in the mail to you this morning. If you have not received this letter in 7 to 10 business days, please contact us at clientmessages@jkharris.com.
