I visited JoeMyers Kia last October 2010 to purchase a small car for my wife. We were impressed by Internet Sales associate Ian Norman's kindness as we had visited this place the previous week. No strong-arm tactic. We were thinking of getting a Kia Elantra when we saw a smaller Kia Rio 2007. We liked the interior, good price and mileage. They helped us get the price we wanted and helped us with credit paperwork.

We were so happy that we forgot to inspect under the hood. First thing I noticed was there was a hole in the windshield wiper reservoir. Water i poured in fell straight through. No problem. I returned a week after to have them replace it.

What I did not notice was the car had been in accident as can be seen in poor workmanship in the body of the car where the engine is located. Bad welding shows it had been in accident. The sales person and even the Sales Manager never mentioned that it had been in an accident. Had I known, I would not have bought it at the price or bargained for a lower price. They say it had been bought at an auction. Still, I believe they should have been honest up front. No accident reported on the CarFax though. Thats why I was impressed with the low mileage (23k for a 2007 model) and price.

I visited their office to ask for maybe a price-off and was told they couldn't do that. $100 at least? Nothing. It's a pity because the sales person was kind but the sales manager Bobby did not do anything. I was stuck with a previously damaged car that will lower the resale value of the Kia. I have never been in a car accident and now that this car is in my possession, it is easy for insurance companies to say that I was involved in an accident.

Bottomline, ask all questions and inspect a car thoroughly before buying. These people will sell you anything as long as they make a profit. I never got a call from them apologizing for the UNMENTIONED DAMAGE. I bought the car in good faith. They sold the car to me in Bad Faith. I believe in karma. They will get what they deserve.
