Jonnys Towing and Recovery "Rip-off Kings" Oswego Illinois

I heard something break on my car (turned out to be my driveshaft) so I was already feeling terrible. I pulled over and I searched google for tow truck companies and Jonnys tow truck was the first one to pop up. The ad said that they accept visa, they tow for $65, and when I called they said they would arrive in 15 minutes.

After an hour they arrived and I told them that I heard grinding in my tires so they needed to lift my entire car off the ground and of course they didn't. As soon as we took off I heard the grinding in my tires so they stopped after a few blocks to lift the entire car off the ground like I told them to do in the first place.

When I asked them if they accepted visa they said Cash Only!!! and the fee would be $285 to drive me less than 7 miles to my house. I didn't have the cash so they took me to the ATM around the block from my house and I gave them the money and ask them to take my car to the alley and they said that they couldn't fit without even trying or even seeing the alley first so they put my car down in the middle of the street.... literally... then they left me there in the the snow alone.

Luckily I was around my house so I found help and my car could still move even though the wheels made a horrifying grinding sound. So they probably did more damage to my car, they definitely overcharged me maybe because I am a woman, and they were complete jerks ignoring me when I spoke.

I just wanted to put this out there so people could be informed. Please don't use these guys. They will get what's coming to them because there is no way they can keep getting away with the awful way they treat people.

Another thing I want to say is that you should always do your research first. When I was in college I learned that companies pay google and other search engines to be the first company to pop up when certain keywords are searched. Just because they are the first one doesn't mean they are the best.

I should've known better but my emotions got the best of me but luckily I'm only out of $285 but they will be out of a company if this keeps up.
