I responded to an ad for Josh B about last November or December.  I remember meeting at a Starbucks and meeting one of his personal assistants who had asked me to dress "fashionably" and "all in black".  I thought this was strange but I obliged.  When I got to Starbucks she said he had 3 personal assistants and was looking to hire 4 more.  I thought this was really strange, seeing as how big celebrities don't even have more than a couple of assistants, but I went to the interview anyway.  I was told about a big MTV reality show that was to debut in January 09, also about how the paparazzi was "Just getting wind" of Josh.  He also supposedly ran some big film production companies and could pay me $45k a year to start, with a possibility of future employment as a director or producer for his film company.  It seemed too good to be true...

I was told I'd get a call in the next two days about coming into work.  She said the average day was about 18 hours and we'd travel to Europe and Japan as part of his promotions for his TV show.  Well I got home that night and did some research on Josh.  For quite the famous actor/producer he had only one imdb credit.  I've worked in low production on some films and have about 5, so to have 1 is clearly a red flag.  I also listened to his "huge" song Pocket Change and thought it was just about the worst thing I'd ever heard in my life (and for a song that sold 1.5 million copies, only 30k hits on Myspace?).  Then I tried to look up his reality show and saw that there was no mention of it anywhere, nobody had heard of it or him, and there was nothing like that in development.

I got a call that night to come in and be ready to start a 2 day trial period which would probably last for 18 hours a day.  I said thanks, but no thanks.  I regretted it for a while because what if this guy did hit big?  Well, I got curious and looked him up.  THANK GOD I did not go in for that 2 day trial because I would have been there for months.  My instincts really helped me on this one.

Okay...I haven't said anything about my experiences with Josh Bredehoft for a number of months because I've been overly optimistic and hopeful that he would turn out to be a good guy, but unfortunately, my experiences had indicated that this is not true. I did my 2 day unpaid trial and got the position. The agreement was that my annual salary was to be 57K and that as soon as Josh's HR manager got back from vacation, I would meet with him to sign all necessary paperwork.

Josh was a really nice guy, seemed hardworking, genuine, and legit, so I said okay. I worked 17 -18 hour days, sometimes even sleeping over in his home office, which was garage/shed/ room annexed on to his house in Glendale, CA.
I was dedicated, and would even front money for gas, food, office supplies, (approx $200 total), with the impression that I would be compensated upon giving him the receipt for these items, which i did.

To make a LONG story short, I worked for Josh Bredehoft for a little over a month, and never received a paycheck. I went home sick one day and told him when I felt better, I'd give him a buzz to see when I could come back. Well I kept calling and calling and couldnt get in contact with either him or his other assistant. After a few days, I finally did, a which time and told me he thought that i quit. I was so upset that I hadnt received any money and was ignored for 3 days that I told him that at this point i actually do quit. He said okay and said he'd mail my check. That was 2/11/09.

Off and on for the next couple of months, I'd call, text, or email Josh concerning the whereabouts of my money, and he'd always have a semi believable story, so I was patient.

The last time I actually spoke to him was around mid June at which time he lamented about all his economic hardships and I felt bad so I hold him he can make payments to me or at least keep me posted.

Today is July 29th and I just called his phone, which has either been disconnected or is blocking my number and I havent received my money still.

And as far as thisbreaking my contract, this point is void. I never met with an HR manager, never received a copy of the contract, and you obviously have not lived up to your end of the agreement, and freedom of speech and press is a right that you, Josh B, cannot take away.

I'm responding to a few comments made by Josh Bredehoft in this forum. Josh, we did do our research as you suggested. You, or 'your people' if you will, suggested that we contact your lawyers at "Emon Courts Law Firm." You also mentioned that we should ask them and they would tell us they represent you in great numbers, etc. etc. Well we did just that.. and even though we knew what they would say, we did so anyway.

Josh (and his people) you should know how the law works in California. According to the representative at Emon Courts they cannot say at all if they represent YOU or anyone for that matter. It's a breach of attorney-client privilege. I think it's pretty humorous that you ask us to check on it when that's the response they give us.

If people have a concern, then this is where they have a right to discuss it. Hence the purpose of this site. It's your choice to run a company, and you have a right to respond of course. All I see here though is threats from 'people who care about josh.' In this forum people are complaining about him and his business.. as a business owner he should respond.

If he does indeed have lawyers we request that he post the lawyer/firms name with an individual that we can speak to. Providing us a huge law firm that refuses to say whether or not they represent him comes across as nothing more than intimidation.

I think it would be very beneficial if Josh Bredehoft responded with how we may contact him or his attorneys.

I don't care what loyal fan you are of josh or what not.. threatening and such will get you nowhere. This is not a forum for cussing or to make threats. If people have concerns Josh, then you should speak up for yourself and try to have a discussion with those who have concerns especially if it's about your business.

It's usually better when people have complaints that the business/owner and consumer try to communicate with one another and try to come to an understanding of the disagreement.

I just want to get straight to the point, Everything this guy says in this complaint is what happened to me also (but worse). I had a slightly different address for his "company": 1262 Vista Court, Glendale, CA 91205, (310) 880-4105

Josh Bredehoft is NOT a celebrity. Before I went to my first day there, he had NOT ONE video on youtube (Strange, as he claimed to have been on a TV show). I tried to check him out, but there was very little about him on the internet.

But celebrities DO advertise on Craigslist. I have previously and currently work for a celebrities who advertise anonymously on craigslist. They have computers just like you. But Josh doesn't seem to pay people and he does not fit in the celebrity category.

To the people who post pro-Josh Bredehoft entries here, I hope you go to jail like he does. It's very possible that all of us will create a facebook group that has more of us, than he has fans.

That "fan" talked to his manager? Hard to believe. I have been contacted by more than five people with the same story about Josh. I think it's absolutely humorous that this "fan" (Josh) attributes Josh's ripoff report on his celebrity status. It must be hard walking down the street being attacked by pre-paid paparazzi.

Listen. This guy is garbage, and is operating illegally by running a "business" out of his mom and dad's garage. He doesn't have a business liscense or the consent with the city. I welcome of his lawyers to come at me.

So as a loyal fan we got in contact with his manager. And this guy named brett who met Josh once before and dose not like him. Started posting all theses lies and opinions on our boy Josh B. It is a lot of things that he can get sued for. If you know facts it's different. But this guy dose not know s**t about Josh. I know for a fact Josh does not steal anything nor takes people social lol. It its the most f**ked up lie. But there are so many celebs out there that get all kinds of fake bull s**t made up. I don't think he could have possibly have been anything more than a featured film extra and I have been one of those myself in numerous films.

I too am a victim of Josh B! He's a scam artist and is quite calculating in his ways. I cannot tell you the headache he has caused myself and family. Do not trust him with your money or anything involving your identity.

I thought I was the only victim of him. Sad to see I am not.

I, too, am filing a police report. Do not believe anything he tells you. If you both could contact me I would appreciate it.

I too fell into this scam, about 2 wks ago...

Someone called me, and told me to myspace/google this guy. So I did, when I found his myspace his song is nearly 2 years old. Also, all of his comments on his page are made by people that don't exist. All the profiles are fake, he must have created them to get more publicity.

His agency doesn't exist. When I called Paige back she said their office is based out of Glendale, on his myspace it says Beverly Hills. Under the WGA list of agencies it isn't listed. Under imdbPRO it isn't listed. It is a fake company he started.

The same can be said for his record label company... It just doesn't exist.

When I called up to the Starbucks, in Glendale, that they tell you to meet at... They say they come in all the time, dressing in all black -- which they'll tell you to dress in all black FYI -- and Starbucks manager said she cannot kick them out, because they buy coffee. She said they hold meetings there all the time though. With pictures, profiles etc, of people, not knowing what they're doing.

Besides the fact, for a myspace who fingers the camera -- you want to be a professional, don't you?

What do i think? I think this is a group of friends, aged 20-24 who have nothing better to do with their parents money, and like to waste other people's time and money.... They get off on it. I also think it may be a way for Josh to find a relationship?

Also, the video on his myspace, of the celebrity "sitings" um no actual celeb talks to the paparazzi. The video was made by someone, aka his team of people, and it's a fake as well.

Don't trust these people...

Btw, they also threatened me with a lawsuit for filing a report against them for fraud with the police.
