jubilee financial services, freedom from dept, jubilee usa fraud ripoff lies

jubilee advertises they will help eliminate your credit card debts by negotiating with your creditors to settle your debts for 30 to 40% of the amount owed. they have you sign contracts and you pay them a retainer consisting of $300 set up fee and $1200 agency fees, all of which are non refundable.

in my case, they promissed to eliminate my debt in 36 months. i would pay them $600 which they would put in an account for me. then they would settle each account as the funds would become available. i signed a power of attorney to them and they were to send one to each creditor telling the creditor they must now deal with them.

they told me to accept only one phone call from each creditor after that, telling them a phone number to call. then to refuse all subsequent calls.

well, i did as they said. they took the $1500 in 3 payments, directly out of my checking account, which was how i was supposed to pay them. then they never took another payment. they sent me statements showing the $1500 of there fees and many letters on how they were improving their billing system. i called and talked to MY representitive several times...each time it was a different representitive. they always said they same thing, they are working on my account and would take the funds on the 15th as schedualed. they never did.

this all started in february 2001. since then i was bombarded with creditor phone calls, which i refused to discuss anything and refered them to jubilee. apparently jubilee did nothing. i lost my job due to the 9/11 desaster and have since had to use the money in my checking account to pay morgages and utilities.
i now have all accounts in collection agencies and a summons and complaint i have 16 days to answer. i cannot go bankrupt because i have too much equity in my house and no job to get a new morgage or refinance.

i will probably loose my house. and they dont return my calls or respond to my letters.
