I recently was car shopping on EBay and filled out an application for credit. The next day a gentleman from Jupiter Dodge dealership phone number called me with approval.
I bid and won the auction based on his approval.
I called him back and told him the vehicle I won on EBay and he was to call me back with the specifics of the loan.... never heard back from him.
After trying to track Ben' from VP Auto Finance' for 4 days he conveniently forgot to mention that I need to buy the vehicle from Jupiter Dodge inventory.
Now I already won this vehicle and it will put me in default of the auction.
I find this the sleaziest of business practice.
I will be sure to mention to family and friends the type of business your run as well as file a report with BBB.

This one is purely your fault I'm afraid.
You were looking at cars on Ebay. You come across a banner ad (I'm willing to bet) or something of the sort, that offers vehicle financing. You click on it and apply for credit. Or, maybe you just started off applying for credit before even surfing the car ads.
What happens next is that your information goes to dozens of dealerships that are a part of Ebay's financing program. Now, this doesn't mean they're a BANK and will give you a loan on any vehicle...this means that they will finance you when you buy a car at THEIR dealership.
So when Jupiter Dodge got your application, they approved you for a vehicle at their dealership. You chose to bid on a vehicle on Ebay instead of choosing one from their inventory. That's YOUR fault, not Jupiter Dodge's.
Think about it...would you go to Best Buy and ask them to finance a big screen TV that you want to buy at Sears? NO! Doesn't work that way!
