Katy Contractors Contractor is scam artist and thief Katy Texas

It all started back in July of 2008. My fiance needed her bathroom enlarged and setup for handicap usage, since she has cancer that has at times made her only able to get around by a walker or wheelchair. We went by word of mouth on how good this contractor was from the local hardware and home building suppliers. He was we recommended very well. She hired him and paid money to him to get work started and supplies. At first they were gung h*o. They stripped kitchen floor for retiling and demalished the bathroom to the bare walls and a large hole in bathroom. It took over a week for them to finish kitchen floor andmany calls and promises. They half assed did floor, tile is unlevel in places and grout not well done. Which he was to fix, but not yet. The bathroom is another story. We had open sewer pipes, no wall seperating bathroom from garage, sink gone and all else removed. Which with open pipes and smell in garage for my fiance to breathe and get sick from, since the cancer has her immune system shot. It was over a month now and still not done. They would show up once in a while, do a few minutes of work and then off. After a month and half to two months they finally came back after threatening him with lawsuit. They finally ran new sewer pipes and filled in hole in floor with concrete, but still didnt cap off the sewer pipes that sticks above concrete. They started widening the bathroom for the bigger tub and handicap setup, then they stopped again and for weeks no contact or any way to phone them. numbers changed and he moved from his house. By now its mid october and still no bathroom. Filed a complaint with the BBB and after Hurricane Ike, we hear from him because he got a bad report frm the BBB. Because it was hurting his business for new work, and he was mad and said he'd call and set up to finish work. Now a month later and no word still. He stated he had our parts, we said bring them by and we get somebody else to finish work. still no materials. Then stated he screwed up and had to use our money to finish previous job and with that payment finish our work.

Chris is a big scam artist, a cheat and a lier. I would not recommend him to anyone.
