I have been passing through a horrible phase in life and as such took refuge into keen psychics almost to an addiction. In Aipril 2010 I was cheated by a Psychic named Kimberly of $3200 who claimed herself to be associated with the church at LA. She literally hypnotised me saying she would do spiritual work to remove all negativity. I believed her because I was emotionally vulnerable at that moment. She gave me her personal tel # showing her large heart and gradually extracted $3200 through western union in installments of $1000 and $500s. She said that she would return the money after the work because it was a must to keep that cash on the altar while she was doing the work. She blackmailed me and mentioned awful things stressing about my Fathers death, and kept insisting if I don't give her money then there will be death destruction and what not. She managed taking the $3200 and that's when my eyes opened that she is a Fraud. I complained to keen and they just refunded the $200 which was taken through their website. Her name is Psychic Soulmate specialist aka Kimberly. She has removed that profile from Keen but is now probably thriving under another name to cheat someone else. I tried taking legal help but again they were asking for a lot of money. I still have her Tel # 3109366737 which is no longer valid. I am just an international student and instead of getting any kind of help I have been totally drained of finances, emotional peace and everything. I feel so ashamed that I cannot share this with anyone. No one can do anything to help me but I want people to read this.
Thanks
S from Chicago

THERE IS SOMETHIGN YOU CAN DO BEING RIPPED OFF BY KEEN

I know it seems useless and there appears nothing you can do; however, you can. Keen (Ingenio) / AT&T is still responsible here. Although they disclaim themselves by saying "Entertainment purposes only," this is with them only. They have your call history of the advisors you phoned during the calls, and according to the BBB Records governing the State of California and most states, they have an onus (burden) to provide you with any information necessary to recoup the losses associated with disparaging their good name as a BBB member. I believe you need to reach out to Keen Customer Service and to be more specific, the general counsel at Ingenio who is Ben Lyon, Esq., Ingenio, Inc., 62 1st Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. This is not a fly by night shop but actually owns a few other networks and media outlets like Spoke.Com, etc. and they all fall under the AT&T Umbrella.
When the advisors sign up with Keen, they have to provide name/address/social security numbers, etc. Also, if you proceeded to sue Keen for your losses, they can proceed against the advisor in what's called a subrogation capacity. Where you sue Keen and Keen in turn sues the advisor for their actions (inactions). We don't have to take fraud lying down and you don't have to be embarrassed about what happened to you. I believe the story needs to get out because there are lots of people out there just like you and they too don't want to tell the story for fear of disparaging remarks by others. Hope this helps.

My response does not help the OP get their money back. They will never get it back.

Shame on these scammers

A lot of these scam psychics operate out of the country so it is hard to track them down. It sounds like you have learned a valuable life lesson, the hardway, but take what you have learned and move on. Money comes and goes. Choose to be happy. Don't let this situation effect your thoughts and feelings. Someone, a therapist actually, once told me that 'your thoughts control you'. And she was right. Be well :)

Ramjet?

In what way does your cruel and insensitive rebuttal help this poor naive person get the money back from this scammer? It doesn't. They are already aware of the mistake they made. That money is gone.
What I am curious about is why guys like you or Steve never really address the issues but take such glee in telling people how dumb they are.
Kind of makes you both assholes, not consumer advocates.

Blithering Idiot

It's too bad you are going through problems in your life but that doesn't alter the fact that you are a blithering idiot.
The things that disgusting fraud told you are so childish and ridiculous that they would be hilarious if they weren't suckering naive people like you.
This one is no more of a ripoff than any of them. Stay away from all of them, it will only make your problems worse, there are no miracles, no psychics, no spell casters or any of the other ridiculous paranormal claptrap.
I can't believe the law isn't doing anything about these sickening people.
Get away and stay away!!
