Keenford LTD recall on hoverboard 360/imoto New York Internet

I ordered a hoverboard for my grandson for a Christmas gift on a site hoverboard 360 on 12/16/15. When I received it it was shipped from Hong Kong and was an IMOTO board. I immediately called the phone# provided on the invoice if I had any questions 877-280-8401 and was never able to get through until today 1/6/17.

I gave him the gift for Christmas as it was what he wanted most but I was very apprehensive because I heard other companies were recalling the boards. It was used only a few times and then put away due to fires and explosions reported.

I then received a recall July 7, 2016 from IMotoHK and tried several times to respond. I was able to finally collect all data to get a response on 11/10/16. The email directed me to set up an account with Hoverwear in order to get a confirmation which I did. I then was told via email I would get a return label in the mail in a few weeks. I did and mailed back on 12/8/16 via UPS. I received via tracking information that is was received on 12/9/16, mailed to Warehouse Manager American Cargo Express 2345 Vauxhall Rd Union NJ 07083.

I then received an email on Wednesday 1/4/17 asking to confirm my mailing address and to choose a color for my new board. I called 877-280-8401 and was able to get a person on the phone. I told her I wanted my money back. She said my only options are a new board or a store credit. I told her I did not believe them to be safe and would like my money back. She said they have been approved for safety purposes as of November 2016. Really, I still don't feel comfortable and it's been over a year now that they have my money.

She said I do not have a chose and to check the website.
