I purchased the Hoverboard 360 as a Christmas gift for my grandson. When this thing finally arrived - from Hong Kong - it said "iMoto". it said nothing about Hoverboard 360. There were many complaints online about that issue. I paid $648.99 for one with Bluetooth.
The United States government has issued a recall notice on over 500,000 machines, of which 84,000 are from this company, Keenford, LTD. manufacturing under who-knows-how-many different names, including the two I mentioned. The Newspaper article said these companies are providing full refunds, repair, or replacement. That isn't true. This worthless company wants to give me credit at their apparel store. Seriously, I don't want any of their apparel nor anything else they sell.
I have contacted the Consumer Product Safety Commission via the website for the United States govenment. I want to encourage all who have been refused full refunds to do the same.

I receive a call from Keenford, LTD. I was told I qualify for a replacement Board, now. Of course, I called the CPSC to ascertain the veracity of this information. Yes, they have come back to the Consumer Product Safety Commission with this offer. I want to know if anyone has yet received the replacement. I do not trust this company after all their attempts to avoid compliance with the repair, refund, replace orders from the government which operates only from the hard-earned taxes we pay! Thank you. I'm sorry for your experience. I'm also a frustrated customer--see my report also filed on this website.
Hoverboard360 (aka Keenford Limited and ImotoHK) is participating in a USCPSC recall for dangerous hoverboards. Nine other companies are also participating, and all 9 of these companies will either repair/replace your hoverboard or offer a full money refund of your purchase price.
However, Hoverboard360 offers only a store credit to purchase clothing. The company should be required to offer the same remedies as the other 9 companies, namely repair/replacement or a full money refund.
If you feel the same way, let's work together. Please reach out to pineflatroad-hoverboard360 at yahoo dot com.

I was just told that I should have not purchased online because overseas businesses don't have to abide by our laws. I had no idea Hoverboard 360 was NOT an American company. That should be mandated for online advertisers.

A problem

The problem I see is that most of those companies are overseas. Which pretty much means that THEY do NOT have to do ANYTHING!!!! If supposedly the government has issued this, then the government is REACHING!!!They have ZERO control over a business that is based outside the US jurisdiction. Sure they COULD sanction that business but they wont and YOU are the one that suffers. If you placed your order online then there is NOTHING that cant be done by ANY US based agency. This is just one of the problems with online shopping. ZERO protection. It also goes to show that you cant believe everything you read, even if its in a newspaper. I understand wanting to get your grandchild the gift they want, but if it means that you have to shop online, then MAYBE that child should learn patience until you can find it at a LOCAL STORE!!! That way there is SOME protection on your purchase.
